It's going to be nothing, He literally missed ONE shift and skated off fine at the end of his last one. Why bother putting him back out there for one more shift with 90 seconds left in the game. IMO he misses 1-2 games at most, only reason I say 2 is because they might not want him to play a back to back game next week so he will miss the first one. He probably misses nothing if this was in the middle of the season or we were in the middle of the playoffs.

What? Your logic makes no sense. You think a player getting hurt means there is less than of a reason to rest guys? Who would I have say? I would have rested any one of Panarin, Zibanejad, Kreider, Fox, etc. who all have been playing big minutes. Panarin had a 4 point game, which is great. But what if he got hurt?

When would I have started sitting players? Probably within the last few games, when it seemed pretty much a lock mathematically that we would be top 2 in the division.

We are rolling and playing the best hockey of the season. I would argue that it's the worst time to rest anyone. Keep playing and stay hot.. you can get hurt at practice. Don't play scared

Have never believed in resting guys in any sport, unless they are nursing an actual injury then that's another story.

Stay in form. I'd play Georgie one more time but other than that wouldn't sit anyone.

Panarin - 96 points
Zibanejad - 79 points
Kreider - 74 points
Fox - 72 points
Copp - 53 points
Strome - 52 points

Brock Nelson leads the Piles with 58 points and the amazing Barzal has only 53. Embarrassing.
You could tell their team was going out of their way to knock Panarin around. Must kill their fans and organization he told them to take their offer and shove it. Love having him here. He's such a stud.

on the radio Kenny and Pete noticed 2 players were missing but they couldn't deduce who the 2 were
You’re asking Pete to see one helluva distance at his age .
He’s from a bygone era - and an actual holder of a Leafs Stanley cup ring.

I can't believe Sam and Joe still havent f***ing noticed that Copp and Chytil havent played for 10 minutes. how aloof and unaware can you be?
Copps last shift came with 5 minutes left in the game, which means he probably had one more shift, two at max left in the game. I don't think it's fair to judge them for missing that he wasn't playing in that short span..

Just wondered why you waited until after Kakko got hurt to offer this opinion. I'm not aware of other teams rotating players out of their lineups. It's fair to say that I might have missed this. I have heard of a few players sitting out because they're dinged up, like Matthews, but that's it.,

Anytime Turk gets asked about an injured player.

Apparently the islanders announcers saw him limping down the runway to the locker room. If you watch him coming off the ice on the last shift his left leg is up in the air. He either was slashed on top of foot or might have tweaked his knee.
