Cool website. I'm not sure I'd call predicting 8.8 wins with a 17% chance of 12 wins optimistic (they also give them a 12% chance of 5 or less wins), but it's interesting. If you think things are pessimistic here now, wait to see what happens if they get spanked or even merely beaten by the Bills in Week 1. Week 1 can't come fast enough.

yeah…I mean Week 1 is kind of not telling usually for the rest of the season because there’s a lot of outlier games coming off a long offseason…I’d say if the Steelers don’t put up a better showing against the Bills than they did in December then there may be reason to worry…but whether they win or lose is likely going to be meaningless for how the rest of the season goes based on how Week 1s have gone historically

I expect them to lose week one, but stranger things have happened. Plus it’s Buffalo. They are Cleveland lite. I could see the Bills totally shitting the bed week one. It’s what loser organizations do

At some point historically shitty orgs can turn a corner (like the Steelers did in ‘72). I think the Bills have and maybe even the Browns have. I guess we’ll see.

Yeah, I meant by cutting Nelson to sign JuJu. Smaller potatoes than Cincy, just funny to me that we essentially did the same thing (far lower stakes).

I am pretty sure Nelson was a goner no matter what. I am curious if they knew how this offseason was going to play out if they would have gone down that same route. They now have 18m in space and now CB.

That being said, Nelson was sort of average last year, albeit, still way better than anything we have currently.

Meh, shitty orgs will have a good season here or there, but they always find a way to turn back behind that corner again.

We talking about the 13-3, lost to the Chiefs in the Conference Championship game, loser Bills? Is that the loser organization we are talking about?

This space.
I never hit a woman before, but I would have likely done everything about the same as that dude TBTH.

Ie fake punch to create space, then just throw hammers at both of them once the guy got up and they started attacking me.

I would like to think I would have walked away way earlier though because arguing with a stranger never gets you anywhere positive.

Playing Buffalo in Week 1 is about the best time to play them- they will have all the expectations of a full offseason with a lot of the rust. Steelers can sneak one out. Regardless need to win 4 of the first 6 games to have a realistic chance at the post-season.

Yes the loser organization that lost 4 straight Super Bowls. The loser organization that then went in to mediocrity for close to 30 years. The loser organization that will be remembered giving up an almost impossible play in the playoff to lose a game. Yes that loser organization.

There are teams in sports that never get over the hump. They may get close like last year but that’s it. I bet New England wins that division this year.

A lot of pessimism about the season already. Bills are tough but the weather is favorable compared to past December games and the team should be at full strength. Unless I'm wrong the last time the Packers beat the Steelers was in the superbowl. I forecast 4-1 before hosting Seattle for sunday night.

They really just need the offense to not be a total dumpster fire like it was last year against Buffalo to have a chance.

Yeah Nelson got torched by Diggs. The defense was dominant in the first half though. Then Ben threw a pick 6 right before half and things fell apart. If the offense is even average in the first half that game there’s a good chance they would have won.

Joe Nedney Jr. with the long FG for the Panthers. Panthers feed saying Darnold missing receivers downfield. Will take him awhile to get over Jets PTSD.

Everyone is saying well this preseason game is what you get when Carolina starters play against our backups, but correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t the Steelers starting Oline start in this game? If so, that’s an absolutely terrible sign…dominated by the Carolina front…

oh, and Snell should be cut…Ray Ray deserves to be cut too, down to only one Ray…

Well it’s no secret the O line is the X factor since the rest of the team is really solid.

I suspect the O-line will be problematic for the first half of the season and solidify on the back half.
