I don't think Rudy is doing anything he isn't capable of. We've seen flashes of it but he's never been given more than a game or whatever they gave him, to build a damn thing..

Rudy is playing Rudy's game. The issue with Mitch and Kenny I find is they just force so much shit and it feels unnatural each time with their drives. Rudy is just fluid. Bad throw? He has his next play like it never happened. The other two live in their heads too much.

Outside of Rudolph having the best deep ball by a mile of the three (he drops the ball down in a high arc that is easier to run under for receivers), I feel like his best attribute is simply his willingness to stand tall in the pocket come hell or high water. The long gain to Pickens was a perfect example of the pocket damn near collapsing around him and he still stood in there long enough to throw it deep. The other two bail too early even from well blocked pockets.

A good way to end the year.

Yeah, shouldn't even be a debate.

B2B 30pt, 400* yard offensive games

*397 last week
Kenny who?

Too bad these last two wins are too little too late…

lol Jim Nance and Tony Romo at Chiefs game waxing poetic about Tomlin and his non losing seasons lol
With Rudy I dunno, I hope we make it in just to see what they can do. If we get Minkah back and the bodies start returning, except Pickett his ass can sit, I dunno, I'd be happy with 1 playoff win.

The main takeaway I have from Rudolph's performances is that Mike Tomlin is dogshit at evaluating QB talent.
Mike also sucks at...

Evaluation of Qb talent as mentioned
Coaching
Hiring OC's
Managing the room

And the Steelers to win…you forgot the hard part lol
The D needs to show up big for that one. Offense I'm finally confident in with Mason at the helm and no Matt Canada, but that D needs to ball out.

Yeah obviously. With BAL having locked up a bye, they'll probably sit Lamar though.
We lost last season or the season before that to Baltimore playing their backup QB…actually we lost to Balt playing Ryan Mallett too…Lol

Rudolph wins those games, no doubt in my mind. Shame it took too long to make the decision.
Totally agree on both accounts.

I wish Rudolph snapped his head around a second or two faster. If he did that, I think he'd have more success. I truly believe that is what makes a great QB. Their ability to snap through reads is way more important that physical skill.

This team flat out looks more composed under Mason right now. This isn't a bad thing for Kenny. His developmental arc is going to follow one similar to Mason's. Mason needs to be better, but if he can continue to progress...who knows?

Yeah that's the sad part, I f***ing hate that Mitch was ever an option and will always be a big hater of that signing since day one. Those 2 losses are on Tomlin and his decisions. Just wasted games because he couldn't see past his own ego.

Or maybe Colbert who absolutely loved Mason was right Mason with his 1st round grade.
Mason saying he would go through every snap on the sideline as if he was the starter and working on his footwork on his own is something KP can learn from

What does that have to do with Tomlin deciding to demote Rudolph to 3rd string and only played him after Trubisky made himself unplayable?

Rudolph was never a bad QB, he wasn't anything special but he had solid throwing talents all around (in terms of arm strength, accuracy, pocket presence and whatnot). Tomlin's the coach that decided he sucked after 1.5 bad games in 2019 and has treated him like fodder since then.
