Well you can typically polish consistency issues. You can't teach talent. So let's hope this unfolds positively.

This draft is terrific if we come out with 2 starters and 2 rotational impact guys.

Who cares about the 7ths
At this point I'd give us a solid a, if we somehow got branch I'd give it an A plus. But I have no complaints we got two first round caliber players and players very high up in there respective disciplines with the first two picks. I would expect both to start and I think they will definitely fortify this lineup on both sides of the ball so, it's all good.

Georgia standout tight end Darnell Washington, who excelled in games last season, has been pushed down on some #NFL teams' draft boards due to a knee issue, per league

Pro Comparison: Dalvin Tomlinson
Accolades:
  • 2022: 6.0 tackles for loss in final three games (two tackles for loss in each)
  • 2022: Third-team All-Big Ten (coaches)
Summary:
Keeanu Benton is an average athlete who uses strength and hands to apply pressure in the backfield. He seamlessly stepped out of a role as a block eater into a role as a player capable of creating a bit more pass rush. He does a good job playing down the line with long arms. He displays good grip strength and an ability to take on double teams.
Strengths:
  • Great size as an interior defender
  • Long arms to occupy double teams
  • Does a good job of playing the run down the line
  • Showed elevated pass rush in 2022
  • Strong lower body and good grip strength
Weaknesses:
  • Not overly explosive or athletic
  • Limited pass-rush potential
  • Average change of direction relative to his size
Combine Results:
  • 40-Yard Dash: 5.08 seconds
  • Vertical: 29.5 inches
  • Broad Jump: 9 feet, 3 inches
  • 3-Cone Drill: 7.34 seconds

Sounds more NT than DE from this.

To be honest and I appreciate the info, like these drills they do on the combine, I don't need all that much information. I just want to know if he's a good player, some of this other stuff I think is overkill. The way I see it he's a good ball player with inconsistency issues.

Sounds more NT than DE from this.
Yeah I see him in that role myself. But if he can apply pressure up the middle then that's half the battle one right there. With our next pick if we go defense I want to get a linebacker that's good in coverage.

Probably going to be a LB, safety or WR at 80, or they trade back to get another pick if they can
