They’re definitely hitting their needs…problem is they have about three more but they only have one more pick at a premium spot…they need some picks in 4-5th round
They could use depth at LB.... but those guys are a dime a dozen at this point. I'll bet they get a LB in the 3rd

I like this draft, hopefully they all pan out.

Not sure whose influence you can chalk it up to, being Khan's mindset compared to Colbert's, Weidl's preferences in positional importance, etc. but I think it's noticeable all three picks were dedicated to the most "important" positions that the modern day analytics crowd values the most (QB, WR, OL, CB, DL, Edge).

Time will tell how this all plays out going forward but so far I'm kinda loving the new way the franchise does business.

Anybody have analysis on Benton or more to the point know where he generally was positioned in mock draft?

I really like the Benton pick but was he really projected to go much higher than this? I thought he was usually mocked around 50th overall.
Does it matter?

It was a need. Not a reach. And not every pick needs to be a steal.

The first two picks were home rins though mixing need and value.

Khan said his process is about “85% similar to Colbert”, so I’m guessing Weidl is a strong voice in the room. Philly is THE analytics nerds franchise.

These guys aren’t in their 60’s and 70’s at least.

Truthfully, don't know much about this guy, but what Mel Kiper Jr was suggesting is he has trouble with consistency. He played very well I guess the last few games before that maybe he questions his work ethic, not sure what to make of it. Anybody know but he's about?

See, I would have liked Cam Smith or Stevenson over Porter…guess we can see in 2-3 years who turned out to be the better pick

Yes, his effort is inconsistent on tape…let’s hope he becomes a better pro and takes to the coaching but he’s boom or bust

If he has the talent I trust Heyward and Tomlin to help him be a useful starter. He's got a great DL mentor so let's see.

We need a boost on the line and he's apparently good against the run.

More importantly I trust Weidl fully on his judgement with lineman.

Yeah, not real sure what to make of this pick. I'm glad that we're at least addressing a need which is what you do with a draft at least one would figure. But I'm going to reserve judgment on it until after I see him play. Seems to have a lot of talent, just needs to put forth a consistent effort.

I know little about him...but

I will not question Weidl on Lineman. That's where I'm at.

Clearly he knows his stuff. I'm refreshed with Khan and him.

Well, yes I have a lot of confidence in this front office. And obviously you defer to them but I'm just not real familiar with the player. But when I hear about consistency issues that does concern me a bit. That said I'm sure they did their due diligence and he did finish his final few games with a flurry so it's certainly a good sign.

So what linebacker or wide receiver up next huh? At number 80 just take who's the best available between the two positions I guess.

Well you can typically polish consistency issues. You can't teach talent. So let's hope this unfolds positively.

This draft is terrific if we come out with 2 starters and 2 rotational impact guys.

Who cares about the 7ths
