I also heard Bruce Feldman on the radio today. He repeated DeFiliipo and Brad Salem as possibilities for the OC job but he also mentioned Tim Beck as another possibility for the Pitt OC job.

Here's an interesting film session with Narduzzi. I certainly like a lot of his defensive philosophies.

Browns being the Browns.

Gilbert, the top cornerback selected in the draft out of Oklahoma State, has been a colossal disappointment this season because he couldn't get it together off the field. He displayed one of the worst attitudes some in the organization have ever seen, and was frequently late to team meetings.

So Gordon suspended again, Gilbert one of the worst attitudes and work ethics ever seen and numerous teammates also blasting Johnny Football for not working hard and taking things seriously enough.

Johnny Football in trouble again today.

Pitt assistant news.

^ Pitt won't be getting those two now. Narduzzi did say he has a list of names for all his assistant coaching positions that are 3-4 deep.

We'll see how it goes on the field but I love the Narduzzi hire. He just seems to bring that toughness all of us western Pennsylvanian's love in our football. He also seems way more energetic than Paul Chryst, not nearly as much of a sleazy used car salesman as Todd Graham and hopefully he has a clue how to coach on game day unlike Wanny.

Oh Johnny...you're off to a great start in 'taking this more seriously'.

He is the perfect Brown...or at least he will be once he gets his mandatory staph infection.

Don't you need six games to qualify as a "season", thus granting him UFA?

I wonder if the Browns are suspending Gordon because he's stupid or to push him into RFA, then they can move his rights.

If not dude is one stupid, stupid...

Penn State wins in OT on an extra point :biglaugh:

It's not surprising that the huge advantage in kickers helped Penn State win...but you don't expect it to be because BC's kicker missed an extra point by 15 yards
His plant leg slipped and the result was a shank that went more to the right than forward.

Screw penn st. The announcers couldn't have been cheering for them any more. Whole pregame was penn st this and penn st that. Woo let's celebrate the fact that sanctions have been dropped! Everything swept under the rug quite nicely for that school. Lucky they didn't face Pitt. (lol I know, it's true though) BC was beyond a joke. 3rd and 10? Run up the middle. 1st grade level kickers. Can't wait til slimy Franklin bolts that program.

So apparently Alex Smith's spleen ruptured sometime during the Steelers game and he won't be able to play against SD in the regular season finale. That could mean the Ravens are ****ed as they not only need to win but need SD to lose to KC.

We know how that turned out last year for the Steelers

Chase Daniel actually played fairly decent in that game last year. He was 21-30 for 200 yards, a TD and no picks.

The Chiefs really should have won that game against Sand Diego and the Steelers should have made the playoffs, but KC's kicker missed the game winning field goal and the refs also missed the San Diego defense lining up illegally which would have given KC another chance to make that game winning field.

That whole sequence last year was still pretty amazing. It seemed like 50 things needed to happen the final 2-3 weeks for us to make the playoffs and all of it happened except that missed/no call game winning field goal.

San Diego should win this game against KC but it's not a lock. Chase Daniel is not awful as a backup and KC has already beat San Diego on the road this year. Not to mention this game will be in KC. That's a very hostile environment.

There was also a strip fumble returned for a TD in OT by the Chiefs in that game that the refs inexplicably ruled forward progress on even though the runner was still moving forward.

KC is leading 16-7 at halftime. Rivers is struggling.

Ravens are tied with Browns at halftime.

Not surprised by the Ravens getting in. I kind of figured the KC game would be tough for San Diego even without Alex Smith since it was in KC and we all knew the Ravens would beat the mess that is the Cleveland Browns.

Speaking of which, Johnny Football and company in trouble yet again today.

I also have to post JJ Watt's final stat line just for the ridiculousness of it.
