He made zero effort on that play, whether it be trying to make the catch or even making sure the defender doesn’t get it.

In slow motion it looks that way, but at full speed it is not feasible to stop from a full run and come back 2 yards in the time it takes the ball to travel 10 yards. Ben threw the ball directly to the defender.

For some reason I remember the 1st pick being not all on him. Forget the exact play though.

The throw is supposed to be over his shoulder and it would have landed at his ankles if the defender wasn't there. It's an absolutely terrible throw.
