Wasn't it only a few months ago that some here were questioning his ability to lead this team? Then he goes ahead and wins the NHL Leadership award. :dunno:
I recall folks questioning his acceleration/agility, not his leadership.

Not at all surprised at this. I am surprised LaFontaine never won it.

Congrats to the captain.
I’m not sure if anyone else felt this way, but I was underwhelmed with the NHL award amount of $25k to his charity.

Lee was due. Congratulations to Ander

He's been the team's nominee for the last 6 years.

It's fair to assume that Lee won the award for all the work he's done with Jam Kancer in the Kan.

The King Clancy Award candidates are submitted by each team and voted on by Gary Bettman, by past winners of the King Clancy, and past winners of the NHL Foundation Player Award, which was discontinued in 2017 and merged into the King Clancy Award.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bo as captain, but I don't think the somewhat laid back mentality on the ice is just an Anders issue. I think the core of the team that we know and love has this issue, so it's not just one person to be fair.

Either way, congrats to Anders on a big accomplishment!
