Yeah with Darnold gone, I think the most likely outcome is Fields to the Jets, Rodgers to the Steelers and Wilson to the Giants. I'm just praying that doesn't end up happening and they come to an agreement with Fields.

I'd be really interested in seeing what the Jets do if Fields does re-sign with the Steelers. They're obviously not bringing Rodgers back, but who else really is there? Both sides may be left without a partner by the end of this.

I’ve seen that the Jets plan is for a QB competition between Tyrod Taylor/Vet QB + draft a QB. So I would think they just sign a Jones/Minshew type and then draft Sanders in round 1 or Dart/Milroe on day 2.

Which makes the whole Fields thing bizarre to me. If his whole thing is wanting to start for all of 2025, he has a better chance of doing that in Pittsburgh than he does in New York.

The issue with adding Slay is that they're going to be in the same exact position in a year with needing a CB. They should have gone after one of the younger guys in UFA, this year was stacked in young CBs.

It's a nice 1 year move for a team that needs to stop making 1 year moves and actually make long-term moves.

$20M is a lot for Fields, but it's still peanuts for a starting QB and at only 2 years, would have been perfect window for the Steelers. Draft a guy next year and let him sit behind Fields if necessary.

That’s the thing…like who else are they gonna pay during that time period? It’s insanely affordable for them.
