The Steelers are the anti-Eagles in terms of roster building and are in need of a serious re-build after being in football purgatory for the last 5 years. What if Howie Roseman ran their re-build?

While I agree with most of what he said and I myself have levied for it, like trading TJ and Minkah. There are a few things he got wrong or didn't even mention.
"The pitchforks are out for Mike Tomlin after the Steelers lost their 5th straight but the anger is misplaced. Sure, some of what Tomlin does drives me nuts but I actually think he’s outperformed what other coaches would have done with this roster over the past several years"
The anger is not misplaced. Tomlin has a huge huge hand in the roster. And the whole outperformed thing is a fallacy. I bet any number of other good coaches in the NFL could have done the same or better. The whole only Mike could do things with this roster is ridiculous. It's how it is justified every off season. So no, the anger is absolutely, positively not misplaced. It should have led to Tomlin's removal years ago.
If Howie Roseman is in charge then the first thing he would do is fire Mike Tomlin. That should have been #1 on his list. If he somehow convinced himself that Mike isn't the problem, which he is, then at least his power would be taken away and Austin would be fired as DC. So that would be #1 on his list.
Zack Frazier was their best lineman last season.
Broderick Jones has been miscast. He was drafted as a potential franchise LT and has basically not played there because they didn't want to hurt Dan Moore's feelings. The time he has played there he looked ok and I bet will be just as good as Cam Robinson. What they should do is spend some money on a decent guard, like Trey Smith or Will Fries. Howie just signed Dickerson to a 4 year, 84mil contract, so you can't say Howie wouldn't do it.
And he totally left out the DL. Philly's success is built on their DL, and OL which you did talk about, yet you completely left it out of your story. Which is also where the Steelers should spend their 1st round pick. They got run over in the games leading into the playoffs and the playoff game. They need to build the DL and you don't have them drafting a DL in one of the best DL drafts in memory? WHAAAAAAT?!!!
They need to be drafting two DL in the first 4 rounds.
Golden making it to the Steelers pick at 52 probably won't happen. But I understand the sentiment.
And the Steelers need a RB before the 7th round. While I am anti-taking a RB in the first round. Having a good player at the position can make a difference. I mean, Saquan's don't grow on trees. So taking one of the top guys in the 2nd-3rd would not be a wasted pick.
Chiefs are 7th from the bottom after winning the prior two Super Bowls...... So you can't equate winning with liking the owner. Eagles are middle of the pack, though they are a "B".
