Apparently nobody gathered that they might need an OL to actually run behind. :biglaugh:

Or maybe they think Canada and the new O line coach are going to do wonders with Finney, Banner etc and draw up a stellar scheme lol

maybe this is when we move up

Doable, but it won't be cheap.

Price to move up to the low 70's pick is a 3rd rounder next year. Price to move up to the late 70's pick, based on value chart, is their 4th this year, but it might cost more.

Anyway, if you're moving up to the 70's, I'm guessing it's costing a 3rd next year.

They need to try and get Creed to help stabilize the offensive line. How many centers have gone thus far, just one?

He’ll help with the run game, too. He’s not amazing at it but he’s good enough. Hopefully he can establish an edge.

Get a good blocking center next round and I think we’re in good shape.

Freiermuth can block right? I guess that semi improves the run game? Ebron was brutal in that aspect.

You can have all the shiny young RB's, TE's, and WR's in the world and it won't matter if Ben is slowly lumbering for his life.

They're not finding a starting OT.

They HOPE DeCastro bounces back, and Dotson shows legit promise.

IF they can get their plug and play C next round, it was worth the gamble they took.

IF they can't, yep . . . gonna be more of the same shit, because Harris can't polish a line with a shit C and the questions at OT.

I wanted Humphrey but hopefully Freiermuth will have a long career in Pittsburgh like Heath did. Must go OL in the next pick.

Center.

Nothing to be gained from a tackle.

Hope one of them is there. Myers at worst.

Or trade up.

They can go full Larry Brown with him, get him on the juice, add 40 pounds of muscle over the summer, and turn him into an all-pro tackle. Or not.

I've never taken the time to do the research, but how many TE taken in the first round actually live up to their first-round status; more importantly, how many are so beaten up by the demands of the position that they are not physically able to. One of these days when I have time, I'll look into that. Heath was obviously a great first round pick, but I think he was an exception.

We got the best RB and the 2hd best TE by most accounts. Not bad but you need to go OL here. Move up get Humprey.

28 picks until the Steelers pick again.

Don't think Humphrey lasts.

Meinerz might.

Myers probably does.

Pure gut feeling . . . if one of those first two names is sitting when the Raiders pick at 79, the Steelers will give their early 4th to move up. The two teams have a history. That's the value chart.

Of course, now that I said that, watch them move up for a defensive player and eschew the OL tonight

I don't think they're going to be able to move up far enough to do it. To get into the early 70's, you're paying your 3rd round pick next year.

BUT, as I said, the Steelers have two 4th's. They could give up the earlier one and work something out to get up to 79 or 80. Not sure that gets you Humphrey, but I suspect it gets you Meinerz.
