There's potentially some great value coming up at LB with Cedric Gray and Payton Wilson if they last too.
With the benefit of hindsight had they not gone tackle first the draft would have been a mess. This draft is looking even better than the 2023 draft, and I don't mean that as a slight on the 2023 draft.
5'10" though. Which is why he lasted.
He’s short in stature, but he has long arms and an impressive vertical. He was fantastic for Michigan last season, he made huge strides from the season prior.5'10" though. Which is why he lasted.
Unfortunately just a slot receiver…no one to play outside
I don't know anything about him, but just going off his report, he's small but supposedly fast and gives a good amount of effort in catching the ball.
I'm more whelmed about this selection than the first two.
Roman Wilson's journey from a highly touted high school prospect to a standout at Michigan sets him up for an intriguing entry into the NFL. His elite speed and sharp route-running skills make him a valuable asset, especially in schemes that need, agile receivers in the slot. While concerns about his physicality and durability may affect his draft stock, Wilson's ability to create separation and his performance in clutch moments cannot be overlooked. Teams in need of a versatile receiver who can also contribute on special teams will find his skill set particularly appealing.
Wes Welker was 5’9 and he destroyed defenses. Wilson is a high motor, high character kid who fights hard and has speed. He is taller than Antonio Brown who sucked at his height.
Brown stood on his ego to gain height. He is taller than Antonio Brown who sucked at his height.
Have to have another option outside or Pickens won’t be available…he’ll be double teamedPeople complaining about the WRs are missing the boat. We don't have a reliable middle of field, short to intermediate dominator. That is what Wilson is.
Pickens wins outside. Wilson wins inside.
This is a terrific pick on paper and tape.
So we just got JuJu 2.0. I’ll take it
