Which was more damning - losing the last 4 games, or losing to the Colts, Cowboys, and once to the Browns?
Officially gonna be Baltimore. That’s rough and I’m not expecting much but it’s not impossible to come out of there with a win.
I don’t think they’ll have Zay Flowers and without him, even the Steelers secondary shouldn’t be overmatched.

These last two games have really done it for me. Philly was sorta ugly but team was done after the 4th down punt. We played Baltimore decently but turnovers killed us. What Russell Wilson has turned in the past two performances has me no longer wanting him. Idk the solution but this team has basically thrown in the towel. 17 points - 10 in the 4th against one of the worst defenses in the nfl
Yeah, I also want Baltimore to win just because at least that will be a good game against the Bills…lol.. we’d get destroyed against the Bills as we always do
If the Steelers play their best football I see no reason this shouldn't be a close one. Most Tomlin-Harbaugh games are and the Ravens aren't that amazing. Great offence, although no Flowers sucks for them, but average defence.

The Ravens' defense has improved over the 2nd half of the season - a foreign concept to Tomlin-coached teams.

Steelers have locked in the 22nd pick for the time being. Depending on what happens next week they could move up to as high as the 19th pick.

I mean, on one hand just watching the last 6 weeks there's no way you can run this back next year with Wilson and Smith and Tomlin. No serious team would do that. On the other hand, I'm not really sure what other choices exist and it really doesn't matter as long as you have this coaching staff and this supporting cast.
Dan Moore has allowed the most sacks in the NFL this season...dude totally fell apart the last 6 weeks. McCormick isn't a starter. Fautanu better be able to play from day one next year, but even if he is, the OL is going to be average at best. You can only fill so many holes at once, and they have maybe 5 legitimate offensive starters - Frazier, Pickens, Friermuth, Fautanu, and Seumalu - after that there's not a single other guy under contract for 2025 on this offense that's a real NFL starter on a good team.

I don't mean this as a defense of Wilson's late season play or the coaching in general, but there's a very valid question to ask about how much you can realistically get out of this offense with the talent it has. It's hard to just say "Wilson shouldn't be back" or "Smith shouldn't be back" or "Tomlin shouldn't be back" with how much of a mess pretty much every aspect of their offense is.
Their WR1 is a diva that gives up on plays when they aren't designed for him, and they have literally no WR depth beyond him. Their HB1 is slow as shit and has never been better than a volume back. Their OL is insanely green at best, and just bad at worst. Add on an average starting QB and the coaching staff, how much upside is there realistically to be gained there?
Comparing this Steelers team to the 2015 Steelers team is completely night and day. Those teams never had everything great, but they always had at least a few of a great QB, great WR room, great RB, a great OL or a great OC. The Steelers today are mediocre to bad in all of those.

I'm not suggesting they should cut him. But I think it's far more likely he's a swing backup in 3 years than an NFL starter. Daniels going down early has been an underrated part of this team's struggles.
I think all of these things can be true at the same time. The supporting cast sucks and I'm beyond done with Smith, but Wilson has been unacceptable the last month and watching that 2:00 drive last night was just...I can't. Tomlin is going to ride him until they lose as that's what Tomlin does, but just because the rest of the offense sucks doesn't make it ok to keep playing a QB that is not only not getting it done but is also not going to get better.

I think Fields still has upside to be a...let's say, 8-12 QB in this league. He probably won't reach it, but worst case he is a passable running QB starter. He is better than anyone in this draft at that position.
I don't see Minnesota letting go of either Darnold or McCarthy, so I think Fields + a decent backup + a late round pick would be fine. Wilson is regressing, old, and isn't actually good at reading the field. He has a regressing skill set.
They need to go heavy on WR - get a 1st round WR and sign a guy. I would move Pickens for any pick better than...50 (2nd round). He is a ticking time bomb, at least here. They can draft a RB in the 3rd round or so to upgrade on Najee. Otherwise, they have to get corners. Take another swing on a lineman in free agency - the last couple worked out.
None of it really matters until Tomlin is a highly paid TV commentator, but indulging in a look at the future is still fun.
Thing is, you can bring a guy in front of him and put him back on the bench, and then put him back in for Seumalo the year after if they're sure he's progressed alright.
I doubt they'll do that. I think they declared their intention when they didn't extend Daniels. I'd bet on his competition being Spencer Anderson too. I kind of wish otherwise but that's where we. But they could.
Even when he had good numbers there were signs what he was doing wasn't going to be sustainable and people didn't want to hear it.
That was 6 games ago, that poster said 4 or 5 games. If you're going to call someone's opinion dumb you should probably be able to count correctly first.
The other thing that people don't seem to realize is that Wilson is only going to continue to get worse. He's 37 next year and has been declining for 5 years. He can't see the field and he's losing mobility.

I do think they figured Daniel was going to get double what they signed him for based off of Dotson extension. Maybe with his injury they get a discount

He's not going to drop, but if he did, I'd take him. He would be a luxury, but I also think a RB like him would take a ton of pressure off of whoever the QB is next year, and provide an identity to the offense that it hasn't had since Ben left.
I like the kid from Iowa, but we are probably going to have to use our 2nd round pick to get him, if he doesn't get picked in the 1st round.

An offseason is going to see both he and Frazier take big strides next year when they have an opportunity to get their bodies right. McCormick definitely has what it takes to be a great NFL guard.
For getting thrown into the fire, I think both have done well. I think Moore has done serviceably well also considering the QB does not get rid of the ball. For a majority of the season he was grading out as a top 20 tackle. Jones blows. They need to let Jones and Fields start next year and they both need to sink or swim. This team needs to know where they stand exactly with these guys heading into 26.
