Gardner Minshew is out there also. We were absolutely stupid for not trading for him, in my opinion. Unless Haskins makes some sort of miraculous development over what he did in the preaseason, I don't think we stand a chance. Jimmy G would be great, but I'd be curious as to what he'd cost. There seems to be quite a few solid offensive linemen next season also in free agency. I doubt Colbert sticks around at this point, but maybe he does one more year to get the team put together and then hands it off. Giving a brand new GM this dumpster fire would be disingenuous. The defense will again be championship caliber, but that D line is getting older. A solid draft and some aggressive free agent pickups could see this team in good shape next season.

I was very anti taking a QB in the draft, but I really like Desmond Ridder. I'll be watching that Cinci-ND game. If he does well, I think that blows the lid off of his draft stock and there is real talk of him potentially going top 10 in the draft. He checks a lot of boxes for me. He's kind of a Mahomes Lite...long time starter for UC, big arm, good accuracy, can kill a team with his legs and would be perfect in Canada's offense. He and Jurkovec are my two favorite QBs. I think Phil would be crazy to come out though.

Matt Corral plays Alabama today also. Might be an interesting one to check out.

I'm just not a fan of the Ole Miss offense. That being said, Mahomes came from a spread type offense and look at him. I think both are interesting guys. I just like Ridder's game so much more right now.

With all of this being said, I'd rather send a 5th round pick to Philly for Minshew and be done with it. We should have sent that pick to Jacksonville for him.

Yinzers would love Minshew so much they wouldn’t be able to control themselves.

I do like Minshew better than any of our current options though

The dangers of getting these stop type guys is that the org will keep fooling themselves and not be aggressive in finding a legit next franchise type guy.

It will flat out blow to go back to the hamster wheel QBs, but I could tolerate it for a year or so… but I fear it could turn into a 5-10 year odyssey, especially if Colbert bolts and leaves the clown shoes left to figure it out.

Only one more day to watch the Steelers get torched by a QB who doesn't even want to play anymore.

After ten years of watching Tomlin’s smug act and always trying to Jackie Chilles his way out of his shitty coaching, I’m enjoying watching him get flustered and say stupid shit like he ran out of plays.

So watching them lose doesn’t bother me that much, even if I’m surprised they are doing worse than I thought.

He's been a chatter box this week, also throwing Harris under the bus with the media.... weasel. He's like tapeworm to this team and city

What do you mean? They are taking this very very seriously right now. The Steel Clown Curtain will show us how they dominate and stuff like that. These guys are lead by Tomlin, the winingest coach Ever!

This is what Im saying @Mr Jiggyfly

He knows the walls are collapsing so he is deflecting blame wherever he can publicly to preserve his rep. Throwing rookies under the bus in the media is pretty cut throat. Even if Clown is somewhat right here, better leaders (coaches) protect these guys by not giving this attention or taking the blame themself.

Mike Tomlin Admits Rookie RB Najee Harris Deserves Some Blame For Floundering Run Game - Steelers Depot
It's volatile to me.

Mike Tomlin made every f***ing excuse in the book for Brown and Bell. But lately he's been happily throwing Juju, Najee, and countless others under the bus and Ben also does the same with is thinly veiled insults at it being others faults or casually mentioning injuries so he's positioning himself for a scapegoat to say it's not his fault he's clearly on the decline and sucks now.

I can hate on Mike Sullivan's current coaching style and clear bias towards veterans and what not and walk away thinking Mike is still a top bloke, but Mike Tomlin to me seems like a shitty person.

Just getting positive yards on the ground is huge there.

Congrats to Ben on 400.
