QB draft is deep this year. I might be in the minority but if we somehow got a top 10 pick I would want to do everything in our power to secure Evan Neal.

Anyone but Spencer Rattler, that dude is the most obvious bust I’ve seen in a long time.

I have no clue why he came back for this - not like it was a surprise the line is bad.

There is a fine line between pride and stupidity and I suspect Roth crossed over to the wrong side.

Not sure about him... but if I had a few million dollars I'd be living the good life. The furthest thing on my mind pushing 40 would be taking body and brain pounding hits with the very real possibility of a long-term injury and brain damage.

TF is he thinking? He won the super bowl... had a successful career... etc etc. He knows damn well he's not going to be protected like some other older qb's.

In general, that's one thing that separates most professional athletes from us regular people. They have the competitiveness and drive that seems to overpower what most of us would consider common sense. If I had a fraction of the amount of money in the bank as these guys it would be really hard for me to stay motivated, regardless of age.

Michael Irving said last week Ben reminds him of himself he always said they would have to drag me off the field cause I love competing and I love this game. He said he didn’t listen to his body as he got older and in his last season he was dragged off because of injuries. As players age they have to win in the film room Ben can never be a rivers in Indianapolis or Manning in Denver. He isn’t going to do tv or coach when football is done for him he will be board.

Not sure how he deluded himself into SB aspirations with his age, Tomlin as his coach and Mahomes and Brady lurking out there…

I guess he’s still working his way through the stages of grief about the end of his career, and doing it in a very painful way.

So sitting Ben for the next game so he can heal isn't even remotely logical to these dipshits is it?

For Ben it's ego and the excuse has already rolled in.

For Tomlin, plain and simple stupidity.

I dunno maybe play the f***ing back up Qb and see if the extra time off helps the bloke that should have retired after last season.

You mean the bloke that was creepily stalking porn stars begging for sex might be stupid?

I'm not going to apologize for disliking Ben Roethlisberger. This is the same board that will say the stuff about Patrick Kane is something they believe but don't about Ben. f*** that noise. I've been waiting to see this giant shit stick to finally f*** off. I don't care if we see some bad times for a couple of seasons, it will force better changes on this team. Maybe Tomlin finally says ok time to move on since this ownership doesn't have the bollocks to fire him.

Rudolph good or not, is healthy and can play at least one f***ing game against a Bengals team that has an O-line that makes ours look competent where this defense could feast on.

Bored. And yes... I can see that being a part of his thinking. You'd like to think he has someone close to him pushing him to stop.
Man.... he shouldn't be taking more shots like the ones he took so far.

Yeah... if he was protected way better it would be different, but he's a big fat target out there. I'd hate to see anyone take repeated hits that absolutely crush him... and for what? A pretty shit offense?

Like the other guy mentioned... I saw brees doing booth calls or something for a college game this saturday... if he (ben) doesn't want to leave the game there has to be SOMETHING he can do that is close enough to the game for him to not feel worthless --- or whatever it is he is losing in his mind walking away from competition.

I’ve had friends and family go through both sides of sexual assault allegations, so I try to always stay in the middle.

Now in the past I’ve heard from people I trust tell me Roth was a total douche nozzle - perhaps he’s changed since then, I don’t know and it’s not my business.

I’ve never argued when people say he’s a dick, but as I always retort, if I expected every person who entertains me to be a good person, I wouldn’t listen to very much music or watch any sports/films/TV.

I question how injured he actually is. This is classic Ben hedging his poor performance with an excuse. He’s already made some shitty comments about Canada. I can’t wait for him to be off this team. Hopefully he actually is injured and this knocks him out for some part of the season. As much as I don’t believe in Rudolph, I’d love to be proven wrong. With this o-line, it would be nice to have someone at QB with even the slightest amount of mobility.

Ben loves to pop up with the timely injury and then play it off as oh it's not a big deal, it hurts to do this or that etc.

Him being called a great leader always cracks me up.

Anyone that has the behavior he does where he basically stalked a pornstar and begged her to let him come in, makes me believe it did happen and from what we know of how many cover ups there are specifically for football players of Ben's pigmentation (get away with a f*** ton more than if he wasn't and let's be honest here...), I put even more weight into it being true.

Just look at the woman that Harry Zolnierczyk and his pals tormented with their bullshit. The entire town was harassing her because she possibly ruined his career. Harry. A pretty shitty player in comparison to what Ben's stature was and even Patrick Kane.

So yeah I will forever maintain that he is a rapist and I await the day his fat sloppy ass is finally retired and f***ed off into obscurity.

Edit: As you can tell, just the discussion of Ben gets me quite angry. Just not a fan of his at all.

I just feel that once that stigma is on someone, it never goes away - so I’m very careful about judging others in that situation.

Just because someone is a sleaze asshole, doesn’t necessarily make them a rapist, and those you would think are trustworthy, upstanding citizens, can be rapist.

I’ve seen it from both sides of the coin and it’s just simply not a word you will ever see me casually toss around.

Stigma on a good person is one thing. Stigma on a sleezy slimeball of a person is easier to keep the stink on.

Look at blokes like Evander Kane, Antonio Brown, and countless others.

I also hate this excuse he's already made for himself for when he continues to play like absolute garbage. We see so many wankers here complain about Kessel and his iron man streak, what do we call an ignorant and egotistical Ben Roethlisberger that won't sit to get healthy and see the bigger picture?

The large turd has the same tunnel vision about this as he does when Dionte is on the field.

You don’t always know who the good people are - many times the perceived good people are way worse than the out in the open sleazeball.

As an example, my dad’s good friend who recently died was a crass, borderline slimy dude and my mom hated him, but if you got to know him he had a heart of gold.

On the flip side there was a priest where my daughter used to go to school, loved by everyone, including my daughter… I think you can guess where the story is going.

Roth’s passive aggressive comments are becoming annoying at this point and the fact he came back is frustrating to me as well… Yet I know that even though he’s washed now, things are likely going to get ugly when he’s gone.

So the situation all around blows.

It is weird his sexual assault allegations and cover up aren’t well known - maybe because he’s a goofy and likable guy…

Again, I try to stay in the middle with this tuff, but I have always found it curious ppl rag on Roth but ignore what Manning is alleged to have done.

Bloodlines will do that for you.

Hell look at what Brett Favre did, yet he's the spokesperson for copperfit and wrangler jeans. Do you think Ben gets those same opportunities when he hangs them up? Manning and Favre had irrifutable EVIDENCE against them. BR was a he said/she said thing.

The media hates BR- some of it justified. But man the hate sure does bleed down from the media to Joe Q Public

Ya it’s a little strange these two are held up as Golden Boys and Roth is the slime ball lowlife.

Then there is Ray Lewis… but he found Jesus or something so, he’s now a great role model, like Jim Brown…
