I still don't think I believe in this team vs a really good team - a rookie QB relying on his legs with a bad defence isn't a really good team, no matter what the record might say - but I wonder if there are any really good teams this year.

edit: I am somewhat impressed at how good they are against the rest of the league though. Just extremely good in crunch time if a team can't put them away before then

I would be mad if that call on the close first down went against us, so I'm gonna consider this a very lucky win.

But a very important win it is, they needed at least 4 wins in the back half of the season to get to 10 wins which is likely the cutoff for the last wild card.

Offense is going to have to continue to score 25+ points a game down the stretch though, this defense isn't going to hold any half decent team to under 20 points, and outside of the browns that's all they have left on the schedule.

If they .500 the rest of the way for 11-6, i'd consider that more than fortunate.

Need to hope the Browns continue to suck and somehow they split the Ravens and Bengals.

Not gonna count on them beating the Chiefs or Eagles.

Thought Queen had one of his better games. TJ a bit quiet, though when you don't call penalties that can happen. Highsmith was solid.. hope he's ok.
Awesome for Williams to get the game winner in his debut. Hopefully the snap counts tick up for him and down for VJ over the next few games.
O-line.. not sure who exactly but too many times they were getting into the backfield with the running back almost instantaneous.

Holy shit... we played like our C game, Watt was invisible and we still beat one of the best teams in the league.

7-2 feels so good

Watt wasn't invisible, he still forced washington to dedicate double and triple teams on him all game, and the last drive of the game they had Watt had just the RT on him and almost caused a fumble.

That's going to be the norm though, so you can't just accept that going forward. Austin needs to get his head out of his ass and move Watt around the line to give him more rush opportunities that the opponent can't just easily chip him.

The line is banged up, but man game to game you can tell how much poorer our o-line protects than the opponent, and the commanders were missing their starting RT today, yet Daniels for the most part looked quite comfortable all game outside of the last drive.

That is 100% the correct play call to get a win and it pays off.

You’re more likely to get a yard via penalty or run and end it than kick it to them and keep them from getting a FG.
They were obviously and rightfully going to call a TO then punt it if WSH didn't go offsides. Learn football kid.:biglaugh:

Chiefs pulling out a late bs win against the broncos might actually benefit us late in the season.

Broncos might've been one of the teams we'd be fighting for a wild card spot should the hard rest of the schedule get the better of us.

Probably true because Tomlin almost always lives in his fears, but the advanced stats always scream going for it for the win instead of relying on the defense to stop the offense.
