I still can't believe how good Wilson looks. The first half was rough but he really turned it on in the second half. He throws so freaking well on the move.

That looked like the big difference to me. They got him out of the pocket a bit, let him manipulate the defence a little, and got some big game changing throws out of him,

I've been skeptical of him but him finding a way without Pickens distorting defences is a big tick in the confidence box for me.

Reading a mock draft article on the NFL. The author quotes an anonymous scout as saying "only one guy would have been top 10 last year". My desire to trade this year's 1st for one next year only intensifies.
It’s interesting but I suspect it’s a tough sell if they bring back Russ. Probably want immediate help.

Maybe you could move down to the mid 2nd for a 1st next year though?

Said it earlier but Cam Heyward having an elite season at age 35 is just insane. With Dexter Lawrence out for the year, Heyward will have a good chance to lead all DT/IDL in sacks and notch himself another 1st team All-Pro. Probably wont surpass his career high of 12 sacks but is on pace for over 10.
Coastal, can't hear you?

Not much to say. Rough start, but they comfortably beat a team they should comfortably beat.

Eagles are correctly favorites next week, but I'm excited for this game. Hurts/Saquon are different stylistically than Jackson/Henry, so maybe it won't translate, but they've shown they can shutdown a great RB and a dual threat QB. The Eagles (probably) won't be as willing to get into a slugfest like we typically see in Ravens/Steelers, though. So definitely still a bit nervous about that, but there's at least a hope there instead of dread. The other side of the ball is not any easier. I expect it to be rough sledding, but hopefully they can hit on a few more moonballs than they did yesterday. I don't think you can expect to consistently move the ball against them, so need that instant offense.

If I’m the Steelers, I just show up for this game and don’t play hard lol…just don’t get anyone injured…this game is not important…the next two are crucial to their playoff fortunes

Despite winning the Eagles seem to be very dysfunctional on the offensive side of the ball right now

This season actually could turn out to be Tomlin's best ever...which would be hilarious.

Feel like the team really clamped down on the game after the second half. Found ways to get the offence rolling without Pickens, turned the screws on their offence. Didn't feel like Garrett did a whole bunch other than the fumble recovery.

Also, unless I'm mistaken, Harris finished the first half with 5 ypc and finished the game with 3.3 ypc, and I'm really curious as to what changed in the usage there.

You kind of answered your own question. This is Harris in a nutshell. He's inconsistent from game to game and he happened to be inconsistent within a game itself.

They can do better than a guy who only has managed 4 ypc his entire career.

All of the other ones, I assume you mean. Yeah the kid in Cincy came in and dead-cold kicked them to a SB his rookie year. This year he's been sketchy.

Yes sorry, all except Boz.
You could make an MVP case for him. He's inching towards the most points scored in a season territory

This perspective is so ridiculous. Yes, the Ravens game is MORE important, but if you beat the Eagles the game against the Ravens is no longer a must win to stay ahead of them and you further stay in the mix for the and 1 and 2 seeds. I realize we are a few weeks removed from you saying they had no hope of competing against the Ravens or Bengals but the idea this game is not important is dumb. Here, I'll add an lol so people don't rip me for being negative. lol.

It isn’t if you start from the presumption that it’s highly unlikely— and probably undesirable given the effort expended and injury likelihood — that they’ll win three games against top five teams in the league in the span of 11 days…

They could have their full complement and play as hard as possible against the Chiefs and Ravens and lose both games, and then you'd be wishing they'd have given a full effort against the Eagles.
