Frankly Pickett shouldn't even be playing this year under ideal circumstances. Ideally you got competent QBing out of Trubisky and could be patient with Pickett. But sadly Trubisky is just awful.

Because teams need to normalize not rushing QBs into starting roles and being patient with them. It is incredibly rare for QBs to be successful in their first year since being drafted. Even guys you take at #1 overall struggle, look at how bad Lawrence was last year.

Mahomes sat behind Alex Smith in his first year. Pickett didn't get that luxury of being eased into the NFL because Trubisky sucked.

Trubisky has a massively better net yards/ attempt, adjusted net yards/ attempt, qb rating and qbr.

Basically, you are giving Kenny credit for playing in games where the Steelers are losing while totally ignoring turnovers.
