So I’m curious, are people talking about a 2nd round pick for Claypool because that’s where he was drafted? If so, do you believe any team in football would trade a 1st round pick for Najee Harris right now? If you believe that, I have an island I would love to sell you

There were national broadcasts as early as last year where announcers were begging the Steelers to get the ball to Claypool more, he's such a nightmare, he's such a freak athlete etc.

Reasonable people may disagree on the value of a player. I'm down on Claypool just as I'm down on Diontae Johnson right now. But there are 32 teams and it only takes 2 of them who are still bullish on the player to get good value.

The multiple 2nds thing is an obvious smokescreen, but I'll be miffed if we don't get equivalent value of a 3rd at the very least. And I expect if he's traded for us to get more value than that.

Not because he was drafted in the 2nd. The 2nd round pick ask is because of what he has done in his Career. Plus still being on his rookie deal

A 29 year old Mohamed Sanu with a career high of 838 yards was traded for a 2nd round pick a couple of years ago.

I don’t think it’s insane to think that a team in need of a WR would trade something similar for a relatively productive receiver on his rookie deal that still has some untapped potential. Especially in the case of someone like the Packers where they need to capitalize on what time they have left with Rodgers.

And if you can’t get that, don’t trade him. He’s an insanely frustrating player, but he’s likely already better than whatever 3rd or 4th round pick you might get. Now I get that there’s the “Lol Steelers bad” attitude on this board but fortunately that’s probably not how the rest of the league operates.

There is a 0% chance this franchise trades Najee.

I think some team could get froggy with Claypool. He has insane physical skills. A team like Green Bay would be perfect. He needs to go somewhere with an established QB. Rodgers could potentially turn him into a highly productive guy, and I could see Green Bay saying f*** it, and giving up a couple picks for him.

Honestly a 2nd for Claypool seems fairly reasonable to me on paper. Even with his mediocre year this year, he still had 850+ receiving yards in both 2020 and 2021 and has a lot of physical traits that teams would drool over.

Especially if you consider the insanely overpriced WR market that last off-season had.

Tomlin jockies can take that feather out of their caps from last week. Bucs getting shelled by the Panthers lol
Because they aren’t good. When I said we would beat them because they struggled against Atlanta I was told it was just a divisional game

Watched the end of the Jags-Giants game. Trevor Lawrence looked terrible, like he’s forgotten how to play the position. His passes are almost all ducks

With another Packers loss they might just get desperate, looking at a losing record 7 games in with there already being two 5 win teams in wildcard slots in the nfc east.

With a potential Rodgers retirement hanging over them should the Packers implode, they just might be able to get that 2nd round+ compensation for Claypool should they get serious about acquiring him.

That's to say if the Steelers would even be willing to make a move that's beneficial for the future but hinders the present.

It's being rumored that Austin is going to be shut down for the year, so I would doubt they would have any sort of motivation to move Claypool now. If Austin were coming back and the team had that WR depth, it was possible. I don't think it is now.

I find it hilarious that the Seahawks are better than the Broncos this year despite the Seahawks giving up Wilson.

The Seahawks are going to have a top-3 pick this year IMO. If the Broncos don't suck bad enough to give them that high of a 1st, they'll add their 1st on top of the picks Denver gave up for Wilson and get a super high 1st.

The Steelers pass defense was better when everyone was hurt

It's also cool to see Tua actually panning out. I remember that he was thrown under the bus in his rookie year as a bust while not even being given a chance to show what he can do.

I love how whenever the camera pans to Tomlin, A) he’s never actually doing anything and B) guy looks totally lost at all times. Which I mean, he is.

With the tanking Panthers beating the Bucs today, and the Dolphins shredding the D on the first drive, all of a sudden last week's victory loses a little luster.

Edit: Does anyone give a rip about the '72 Dolphins anymore?
