Mates, we won. So obviously plan the parade route, the issues we've seen over and over for the last 6yrs has been fully erased beating the Avalanches of Colorado.

Every team Karlsson gets traded to seems to get worse. Is he a lockeroom cancer ?

Pittsburgh missed the playoffs last year, so it's not like they were amazing before he arrived. The start of this season for the Penguins is really just a continuation of their poor end to the last season

Crosby has seen a massive decline. Letang is always injured/inconsistent. Ditto Malkin. Karlsson is new.

Not surprising results.

Too late to fire Sullivan now. They had that opportunity years ago & did not do it.
It’s funny how inaccurate this is. Crosby & Malkin continue to be productive. EK has looked great. Letang isn’t injured and Sullivan will not survive another GM if the result continue.

The Pens struggles are directly related to coaching, lack of production from the bottom 6, and bad goaltending.

All those things looked better against the Avs but we’ll see if they can consistently do it. The older players are the least of the concern.

It's amazing how obssessed Leafs fans are about Dubas whilst maintaining that they absolutely weren't heartbroken with him leaving.
Leafs are a big fans base and there is a hard line in the sand with some fans of "Dubas Haters" vs "Dubas Apologists" There is no shades of grey with these fans, one groups will complain Dubas doesn't wipe his ass properly and the other says he innovated a new technique.

OK not a massive decline from Crosby. If just looking at stats.

But yeah...he looked like this before Therrien & Johnston were canned.

I don't think another mid-year coaching change will work this time. Core players are no longer 30 and under. And most times when they were playing bad, they were underachieving. I don't think this team is underachieving. They aren't a good team. Nothing has really changed from last year.
Part of the issue is endurance, they're just old af. It's still a very talented team and can look like a contender from time to time. First half of the Dallas game they looked great, then got gassed. Colorado game they looked great, but I have a feeling they're going to lay an egg against Ottawa. The consistency isn't there anymore.

Obviously coaching is a big issue too, Sullivan has tried to employ a system this team can't really play anymore. I think another coach can do better in terms of playing to this roster's strengths.

How about EK65? Certain Sharks fans/Karlsson Homer's insisted he was actually good and not just a product of San Jose doing everything they could to get him points.

Yet here we are, he ain't looking so hot after all. Who could've possibly seen that coming?

I like the idea that all the terrible players on San Jose were capable of making him to have one of the best offensive seasons a defensemen has ever had, but weren't good enough to just win some hockey games. And now that he's gone, they're doing so much better...

It's almost like letting him run around playing 30 mins a night disregarding all defensive responsibility playing like a 4th forward inflated his point total. Teams with 0 aspirations other than pumping up his trade value can afford to do that. Teams concerned with winning can't.

It's amazing what he's done playing for a coach asking him to play with some semblance of structured play.

All I have gathered from this topic is that Dubas f***ed a lot of Leafs fans' GFs. The obsession is something to behold. Do you guys have a voodoo doll of Dubas in your bedrooms?

You uh...you must not be familiar with Ole Mike behind the Pens bench.

He's been toast for years and somehow fooling GMs into keeping him. His ability to create structure is atrocious.

There's no real evaluating the players on this team until a fresh coach is installed. I have zero ill feelings of gaining EK for peanuts...not one Pens fan expects him to score 100 here lol.

Appreciate your interest in the Pens though. Let me know if you want me to give you a full detailed rundown of the team. Gobless
