I don't think it's too early, since the problems with Sullivan have been there for years now. He does not have the answers and his shelf life has expired eons ago. But the two cups seem to buy him infinite leash. It's now or never to fire him and get a fresh start for the last runs with this team.

At first, I was very, VERY hopeful when I heard Dubas was coming to Pittsburgh.
Then, I was DEVASTATED when one of his first move was to resign Jarry (who am sure is a nice guy).
Now, now I look at him with sadness rather than hope.
My disappointment is immeasurable, and myday season is ruined.

Is the Crosby/Malkin/Letang era coming to an end? I think the same question can be asked of the Ovechkin/Backstrom era. Boston seems to be weathering the loss of Bergeron/Krejci but we'll see if they can it going all season and for how many more seasons.
As a Hawks fan - it was painful to watch the team get old and fall apart and it took years for mgmt to acknowledge the Toews/Kane era was over and to finally do what was necessary to rebuild. How many more years will it take for the Hawks to become legitimate Cup contenders again - 5 years or 10 years or never? Before the 2010 Cup it had been 49 years since winning the Cup in 1961.

Dubas ain't a miracle worker lol. Some pen fans thought he was their saviour. Sure he can be better than Hextall/Burke but thats not a high bar to pass.

He’s got to be the Gm who gets most excuses in the league. He got Torontos golden core and got zero results with it.
What I’d love to hear from him would be how were these summer moves made for longterm as well. His big speach was we want to compete now but also build for the future

Better chance Boston remains a PO Team post #37 this year because they have the talent in Goal and on D to make their commitment to team wide D a game-to-game premium and enough offense from #88,63 and #74 on the wings.
Dubas fan club has been dead silent lol. Entire core is over 35, didn't make any sense to try and win again with this team. Adding Karlsson lol if only someone told em that he's one of the worst players in his own end.
Sid and Geno are nearing the end of their career, they've won everything. They should've been looking to rebuild, these guys can't carry their team to a cup at this stage but they could play a huge part in helping another team with a younger core take that next step to win a cup. Don't understand what Dubas was thinking, they should sell off by the deadline and prepare for the future. Sid can still bring in a massive haul but trading for Karlsson is just brutal.

There is no "rebuilding" with Crosby/Malkin/Letang. It's unheard of in NA pro sports to have 3 superstars play together that long, and they're the core of the most successful team of their era. You see it through to the end and give them every opportunity to compete. The alternative is what...sell them off for a bunch of middling 1st rounders to hopefully get a core half as good in 10 years? Get real.

Looks like they’ve been productive offensively yet still somehow a collective -3 (assuming you’re talking about Malkin Crosby Letang Karlsson). Not much PP production yet for those 4 so far so it would appear that they’re hemorrhaging goals the other way as well.
Regardless, way too early to draw conclusions either direction.

Several others who were not the main reason the team failed the last 3 playoff appearances. Either by horrendous play or not being available because they can’t be trusted to stay healthy at the most important part of the season.
This is such a tired response. You don’t handcuff yourself to a goalie that has done nothing but let you down every time they’ve had the opportunity. Try literally anyone else. Anyone. Crappy goalie? Ok, sign them to a cheap one year deal and use the cap flexibility to improve the team in front of them. Try something other than the same thing that has proven doesn’t work.
