This might be a stupid question but how do coaches decide who to send to the box when the penalized player goes to the dressing room or the goalie takes a penalty?

Not a dumb question, but you look at the time of play and what you think you need to close the game out and send off someone who doesn’t get any of that need. Someone like Janmark or McCleod last year would fit the bill.
