Mooseheads and Wildcats just finalized the Groulx and McIsaac trade....

- Groulx
- McIsaac
for
- 2021 1st
- 2022 1st
- L'Heureux
- Desnoyers

Feel so bad for the Wildcats... Covid-19 destroyed their Memorial Cup run. And the Mooseheads are once again well positioned to contend in 2 or 3 years. Those Wildcat picks can be lottery picks too. Don't imagine the Wildcats being good for the next two years.

Mooseheads have the 5th OA pick in the next Euro draft too.

Bobby Smith would be a great asset as President of the Habs! His vision and strategy would be welcomed! I'm sure he has some connections as well. Bob Gainey type character and patience and well respected!

Sokolov changes agent for North America. He joins Dan Milstein, Romanov's and Demchenko's agent.

Before the KHL free agency started, Sokolov had advised CSKA that he was not going to sign an extension with them and instead sign with the Isles.

However, with the recent rumor that any prospects teams sign will not be eligible to play this summer, coupled with the possibility that next year starts later, there was a rumor that Sokolov was going to sign for one more year in the KHL.

We'll see if changing agents will have an effect on that.

Milstein is one of a few agents that are no longer certified by the Russian Ice Hockey Federation.

He's the fourth player that was placed on unconditonal waivers and still had 1 year remaining on his ELC.

Rangers did it with Sean Day
Penguins did it with Linus Olund
Avalanche did it with Shvyryov
And now Stars do it with Ondrej Vala

Dallas Stars D Roman Polak signs with Czech club HC Vitkovice - TSN.ca

Interesting. From the quote I read, he doesn't want to come back for the playoffs with Dallas. Doesn't sound like the Stars will try to force him either.

"We can't make someone come back under their wishes," Nill told DeFranks. "If anyone wants to stay home, that is their decision."

Interested to see how many players say 'thanks but no thanks' to coming back this summer for whatever reason(s).
