OT: The Other Sports Thread Part X

SEC definitely looking unsettled at this point.
Bama looking just plain ordinary.
Georgia struggled
Vols... yeah

That Etienne kid for Florida looks like the real deal.

Edit... Vandy game seems entertaining to say the least... and as I type this Vandy chokes

I think what you are seeing is the result of NIL and the transfer portal. It's essentially creating parity much the same way salary caps have done in pro sports.

Players are no longer going to sit around and wait on a chance to play just because a team has a name. They are going to go where they think they have the best opportunity.

I think I said it on another message board but it will stay this way until some non-power 5 school says the heck with it and essentially buys a National Championship.

Or boosters team up and pool $ to cherry pick players

My alma Mater is restarting the football program, so anyone know any HS coaches so I can ask for advice on recruiting. LOL!

Titans are pathetic. They need to see if any of the teams who desperately need a QB will give them a pick for Tanehill and spend of the rest of this season figuring out if either Willis or Levis have the goods...

Gotta have a decent offensive line first before you can figure that out.

OL and playcalling are the biggest issues. Tannehill has shown a few times this year when he actually has a second to throw the ball that he can still deliver. The problem is the swiss cheese OL rarely gives him anything.

Then you have whatever Tim Kelly is doing with the offensive gameplan that is not doing anyone any favors. How he was promoted instead of looking outside I will never know.

New GM needs to start making his presence felt if this continues.

Hopefully next season when we have a bunch of cap space. His hands were still tied a bit this year, although the organization never wants to admit that it's an expected down year. I really think we'll see something a lot different next year, not necessarily contender level but a vast improvement has to happen.

I don't care if they have the goods this season. I wanted them to try to move Tanne in the offseason and tank via Willis anyway. The Jets are obvious trade partners for Tanne. Get it done. Do Henry a solid and find him a home while you're at it.

I say this as a Pats fan, this team will not win with Mac Jones. For years I was wondering about this country club horseshit....Then I see Mac Jones on the bench, not giving two shits about winning. Enjoying life like a cotton plantation owner sitting on his porch, sipping tea. I nodded and said 'Ahhhhhhhhhhh! So that's country club.'

People are saying Shohei and I went into full accountant mode and realized that based on contracts leaving that they could negotiate a deal for him and I'm shocked.

Oh look Mac Jones is looking pissy on the field and apathetic off.

I guess it's too much to hope today's absolute beat down would lead the Pat's to fire Belichick

Look, I am grateful for the rings, the banners, the hype, and even the hate. I was a Patriots fan back when they were talking about moving the team to St Louis.

But in sports you need to take Ol' Yeller to the woodshed.
