Wow. Just found out that Ryan Adams covered the entire Taylor Swift's '1989' album. (he released it in Sept) It's amazing. He and his band did it in 3 weeks and without production - pretty raw. Taylor has called Ryan the 'Springsteen of this generation" but Ryan is 40 and he was 18, when he started his first band, Whiskeytown, The 3 Whiskeytown albums he did, are still the best Alt Country ever. (How all country music should sound) He moved from that at the age of 22 or 23 and went folk / rock. I'm not a fan of covers, but can appreciate them if the artist does a different interpretation and Ryan has done that. 'Blank Space' is acoustic and stripped down.
I saw Ryan at Red Rocks here in Denver June 6 and was killer. Did not play any of these songs at that time.
all 13 tracks up still . funny to read some of the reactions - taylor swift fans do not know who Ryan is and thnk he's a newcomer
trying to make a name for himself...others are orgasming and / or losing their bowel and bladder control...
