Been hitting the "Modern Family" back catalog last couple of weeks, no one dose embarrassing moments like that show, would highly recommend it if you are a fan of full blown belly laughing fits.

I'll share a couple of minor embarrassing work stories from when I used to work at a grocery store.

On my first week as cashier while bagging a woman's groceries, one of the bags I was filling fell over and off the counter, bruising a bunch of veggies and fruits. So I had to quickly fetch replacements while there was a huge lineup behind her impatiently waiting.
I also accidentally dropped a loaf of (poorly packaged) bread on the ground, and accidentally read off the total amount with an extra zero on the end a couple of times (surprisingly, some people don't want to pay $50 for just some milk).

Two things:

- Finally got my hands on a copy of The Last of Us but my PS3 keeps crashing every time I try to update it... AND IT'S WORKING NOW **** YES.
- I don't think the embarrassing moment that immediately came to mind is HFBoards appropriate.

Too many embarrassing moments to count, but I remember walking into a pole in the middle of Vienna.

Killer thread.

Where to begin?

-In grade four/five I had a bit of a temper. Threw some pretty decent tantrums back in the day.
-Got pantsed right down to my birthday suit in grade five.
-Got called out on a BS story in homeroom in grade seven. Not sure why I didn't fess up.
-Said I ...smoked the devil's lettuce in grade eight to impress girls. (As you can see, I'm pretty bad-ass)
-Straight up got drunk during middle school on a few occasions.
-Called the teacher 'mom'.

Ah, sorry I can't think of any good ones. Everytime I think back on them, I never think they are any good. One good one from a certain poster on here, one time in high school he went to the bathroom and walked out of there with TP on his shoe. Always thought that one was pretty decent. Also I'm 95% sure when one of my other friends was drinking and proclaimed his love of his ex's brother. Have to look into that one.

Which would bring me to probably the best one which is not PG rated so unfortunately cannot post it. Oh man, that one is a beauty.

I feel your pain, man. You just have to get lucky and look at the right time. I went on Best Buy's website and saw one of the places by me had some in stock so I drove down as fast as I could and got one of the last ones.

Probably should have called first to be on the safe side but oh well.

I spent some time thinking about this embarrassing moments thing.
And I have come to the stage in life where all the things I thought were embarrassing growing up, I no longer think are embarrassing and now I just think they are not a big deal/ kinda lame.
but on the other hand, alot of the things I thought were cool I now think are embarrassing, Im looking at you 90s me...

- pants that were way to big hanging around my ass with satin boxer shorts
- under cuts
- bleached hair

We gotta hear that one.
How did that happen?

Not much to tell. Was trying to be the center of attention and I slipped off a log with my phone in my pocket. Sure looked like a goof afterwards though.

I walked around with a tent...
:naughty:
More noticeable because I wore track pants.
That was in high school...

Not embarrassed then...
Probably because nobody confronted me about it.
I only felt the embarrassment a couple of years afterwards...
When I looked back.

Still...
As people age...
I think they get less embarrassed about it.
In fact...
Some of them may even look fondly upon it...
And have a sense of nostalgia.
:sarcasm:

It's cool.
I think we all fell into water at least once in our life.

For me...
I did it twice.
The time I fell into a pool...
With a full set of clothes...
I rolled with it and just swan with my clothes on.
I got looks...
But I did not care too much.
It helped that I was only 9 at that time...
And pretty dumb.

The time I fell into the ocean...
That I was pretty embarrassed by.
One of the flip flops got away from me...
And when I tried to pick it up...
I feel into the water.
I also scrapped my knee in the process.
My family would never let that one go...
:shakehead

Embarrasing moments time. Love these things

-Once while playing ball hockey (organised league, decent crowd) my pants fell down while i was on a breakaway, causing me to trip and crash into the goalie.

-When I was in grade 7, I ran for Student Body President. I gave this whole speech about how you shouldn't vote for popularity, but for results. Was laughed at by guys in my class. Lost in a landslide to the kid who was "cool"

-At my work, our radios sometimes activate themselves if not plugged in right, so everyone can hear you for a period of time until you realize so. My friend didn't plug his in right and everyone in the place heard him singing a Nickelback song for 2 minutes.

-Lost a race to guys who I called my "friends" who were jerks and started beaking me about it. (Back in Grade 6 I believe.) I flipped out and start chasing them with a set of keys I had on a Nintendo Wii Laniard.

-When having an interview to work at McDonalds, I was asked what my greatest weakness was. I said, without thinking, "I hate some people"

-In a separate interview at my current job, I kept hitting my head on the lower cieling they had in the interview room, as I'm a decently tall guy, and there room was small.

-In that same interview, we had to introduce other people and sell them to the company as if you were selling them as potential employees. I screwed up the girls name and called her Alyssa the entire time instead of Alynna. Out of everyone that was selected out of that group, which was about 12 of us that got hired, she and I are the only ones that still work there.

-I declared my love for a girl in grade 9 on facebook. Not as a status, but to her. She let me down easy, but I cringe thinking about it.

-Had a girl say she liked me, asked her on a date and she said yes. Next day, she said she didn't like me anymore and didn't want to do it anymore.

That's all I have for now. Will be back with more

Hmm, as the person who thought of the thread title, I should probably contribute to it.

-During a French Final Exam in grade 11, I asked my teacher if "Soeur" (sister) was a masculine or feminine word. I had whispered it to my teacher cause I thought it was kind of a silly question, but for some reason I had serious doubts and it was ok to ask about that kind of stuff. My teacher responds in a booming voice, "Yes Linden, the french word for sister is in fact feminine." The whole class had a nice laugh, and there was no playing that one cool

-Was walking a night with some buddies and girls we were trying to get with, and when cutting through a park I fell down a muddy hill in the most ridiculous fashion and got completely covered in mud. Really tried to play that one off, but it just wasn't possible.

-Blacked out in grade 10 at a party and awoke with Vomit all over me and no clothes to really change into. In my half-drunken state I walked home (a couple blocks) in my boxers

will add more when I remember

-I declared my love for a girl in grade 9 on facebook. Not as a status, but to her. She let me down easy, but I cringe thinking about it.

Who? Do I know her? Guarantee it wasnt as bad as Slayer getting shot down by my cousin in grade 9 or 10

Nooo, was definitely embarrassing... =/ although I did finally learn how to hold ny liquor. And now that I drink whiskey straight, no one ever wants some of my drink :)

Yeah, it sure is. It's why I only drink until I'm extremely buzzed, not to the point where I'm puking (although, it happens from time to time) but drunk enough to have a good time. I've learned from my one blackout experience. Among other reasons, the main one is you miss absolutely everything, and the next day when all your buddies are talking about the crazy stuff that occurred, you're beyond clueless.

Did that too...
Never talked to the girl again.
I did learn to never do that again...
So there is that.

-Had a girl say she liked me, asked her on a date and she said yes. Next day, she said she didn't like me anymore and didn't want to do it anymore.

Wow...
:amazed:
That is the definition of fickle.

Still...
I don't think you should feel embarrassed about it...
I think it is more on her than you.
