Grade 7 story that I just remembered. Asked the hottest girl (imo at the time) to the grade 7 dance and she said yes, and it went swimmingly. We went to the movies a few times (yes with our parents driving us ) and hung out a bunch. I got an MSM message from her asking why I had been saying that we were going out. She said something along the lines of, and I am paraphrasing here, 'Why are you saying we are BF and GF? It would be great if we were but you never asked me to be your girlfriend.'

Seems like an invitation to ask no? I couldn't get to her house, so I called her home phone and asked if she wanted to be my girlfriend, she said that her dad wouldn't let her date. It was a complete lie, and I knew it, but I guess it was a letting me down easy sort of thing. Positive side was that we went to separate high schools so I didn't have to deal with the awkwardness.

Yeah, it sure is. It's why I only drink until I'm extremely buzzed, not to the point where I'm puking (although, it happens from time to time) but drunk enough to have a good time. I've learned from my one blackout experience. Among other reasons, the main one is you miss absolutely everything, and the next day when all your buddies are talking about the crazy stuff that occurred, you're beyond clueless.

Ever drink any of these?

My favourite beer. Or one of them.

For the people who had to take care of the person too...

The upside is...
You can draw whatever you want on the face...
And chances are you will be scot free.
:naughty:

That's always the best part - drawing on the faces/body.

I was always the first one to pass out/fall asleep and got drawn on all of the time. I made it a habit to look in the mirror whenever I was in a situation that I would potentially get drawn on

Seems like many of the embarrassing situations involves a crush...
As it should be.

If you are not trying to embarrass yourself...
You are not trying.

I do wonder if it is worth the trouble sometimes.

Crushes are probably the top ones for embarrassing moments. As well as anything involving alcohol.

Not an embarrassing story or anything, but something I thought was normal that turned out to be kinda weird. I was not allowed to watch the Simpsons until grade 9. Seemed like a pretty typical time to get into it, until I realized that all of my classmates had been watching for years.

Also, apparently I say Bagel incorrectly. I have no idea that I pronounce it wrong, but I get endlessly ribbed for it by a lot of my friends. They claim that I say "Bagal" but I don't think I sound anything like that. Odd

Still...
I think I would look fondly upon those instances later in life.
You really can't...
And won't...
Do some of the stupid things you did earlier in life.

I walked around with a tent...
:naughty:
More noticeable because I wore track pants.
That was in high school...

Not embarrassed then...
Probably because nobody confronted me about it.
I only felt the embarrassment a couple of years afterwards...
When I looked back.

Still...
As people age...
I think they get less embarrassed about it.
In fact...
Some of them may even look fondly upon it...
And have a sense of nostalgia.
:sarcasm:

Question, dont take this the wrong way...
were you trying to be cool in high school?
because the most embarrassing thing for me is I was trying to be cool
but ended up just being a d bag looking back
wish I didnt give a **** rocking a "Michel Cera" sort of a vibe.

One of the top embarrassing moments in life...
Parents catch you...
In the words of George Costanza's mother...
"Treating his body like an amusement park."
:help:

The upside is...
You finally get a lock to your room.

To be honest...
I am one of the nerdiest person around...
But I thought I was cool...
So I did not try to be cool.
I was just being myself.

Really...
I just had no fashion sense.

My school requires gym clothes...
And I was too lazy to change...
So whenever I have gym...
I wear long track pants with the gym t-shirt the whole day.

Eventually...
I do realize jeans are a wonderful invention.

Oh thank god I never experienced that embarrassment. That would be awful - I would think.

You are lucky...
But I do know it happens to many guys.

Sad thing is...
Like that episode...
Even though it is embarrassing...
You know it is going to happen again.
:shakehead

The embarrassment only ends when you get your own place...
Without roommates.
The last part is very important.

And even when you have a place to yourself, close the door and lock it just in case. ;)

Thats cool though, I just regret never being myself and trying to be some one different, now I just let myself be who I am as un cool as I may be, married now so who have I got to impress right.
