He does, but he's just super into paying taxes.Does Benford realize there's no palm trees in Buffalo ?

Actually, you can reduce the amount of taxes you have to pay by just making less, hence all the team friendly contracts. He does, but he's just super into paying taxes.
Pay him, give a three year deal and then move on. I'm against paying running backs but with our current window, don't f*** around. There isn't a free agent or day two pick who is plug and play and will give you the production and understand what the offense is doing.Cooks got no leverage, sit or play, if he produces again Tag him..., Beane knows not to lock up an RB long term.
Brandon Beane is not going to pay $15M per for a RB that plays around 50% of the offensive snaps and is outside the top 15 in the NFL in carries and rushing yards.Pay him, give a three year deal and then move on. Or don't give the drama queens incentive to act up and ship out trouble makers just like Diggs, when it becomes about me over the team you've overstayed your welcome.Pay him, give a three year deal and then move on. Most Impactful Player among CB, 1TDT, & EDGE is the pick for me in the 1st and then take a guy at the other two spots in the 2nd unless something crazy happens. The more mocks I do seems like CB in the first is most likely unless Grant/Nolen fall to 30. DL is very deep. Plenty of guys will be there late 2nd. CB falls off quite a bit. Once Amos, Morrison, Thomas, and Revel Jr go there's not much left. You'd be reaching with one of those late 2nds to grab a CB.
S Xavier Watts to the Bills
Height: 6-0 | Weight: 204
College: Notre Dame
Where Buffalo could get him: Pick No. 30
The Bills need to add speed and playmaking ability to their defensive structure, and Watts fits that profile. A safety with range and ball skills, Watts had 13 interceptions over his final two seasons at Notre Dame. He can play in the post to track the ball and close the middle of the field. Plus, he could overlap throws to the boundary or jump in-breakers from split-field alignments in the Bills' foundational zone schemes.
I'd consider Watts if Beane traded down. He's a perfect fit for what McDermott and Babich are trying to do.![]()
Nick Emmanwori in Minnesota? Tyler Warren in Indy? Our perfect NFL team fits for 20 draft prospects
Which NFL teams make sense for Nick Emmanwori, Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Warren? Here are 20 great prospect-and-scheme matches.www.espn.com
Going safety at 30 over bigger needs at CB and 1TDT would be eyebrow raising to me.
I get a lot of the same players at each pick. The questions I ask at 30 are:Most Impactful Player among CB, 1TDT, & EDGE is the pick for me in the 1st and then take a guy at the other two spots in the 2nd unless something crazy happens.

Pearce over Harmon at 30 was tough.
Went with Morrison over Porter at 56 assuming that Morrison's hip is good to go because I think Morrison is more of a plug and play CB2 candidate than Porter who has all the traits and not a lot of experience actually playing CB.
The Bills defense needs CBs that can process the game mentally well. And Porter's lack of defensive experience worries me in that regard.
And Collins was the best 1TDT on the board at 62.
I know you're banging the trade down drum (as always)......but given the number of picks we own versus number of roster spots available, I think a trade UP in the 1st and/or 2nd is MUCH more likely than a trade down.I get a lot of the same players at each pick. The questions I ask at 30 are:
- Does Harmon project as a 1DT in the Bills scheme?
- Can Beane trade down and still get one of these players?
At, 56 and 62, does Beane double up on DTs? Collins, West, and Phillips are all good 1DT fits
I'm only banging the trade down drum because, after the hundreds of mocks I've run, I think the talent at 40 isn't much different than the talent at 30.I know you're banging the trade down drum (as always)......but given the number of picks we own versus number of roster spots available, I think a trade UP in the 1st and/or 2nd is MUCH more likely than a trade down.
For those who don't want to watch the videos here are a couple takeaways
"I love Jimbo, proud of his success, just like these other guys that we got extended. I don't talk about negotiations, I would say his reps and him did put it out there that we did talk, so I'm not sharing anything new. It didn't lead to anything as far as closing in on a deal, so we moved onto the guys that we were more on the same page with. At this point, we're on to the draft, once we got Benford done. I don't see us doing any deals anytime soon."
