Actually, you can reduce the amount of taxes you have to pay by just making less, hence all the team friendly contracts.

Pay him, give a three year deal and then move on. I'm against paying running backs but with our current window, don't f*** around. There isn't a free agent or day two pick who is plug and play and will give you the production and understand what the offense is doing.

The more mocks I do seems like CB in the first is most likely unless Grant/Nolen fall to 30. DL is very deep. Plenty of guys will be there late 2nd. CB falls off quite a bit. Once Amos, Morrison, Thomas, and Revel Jr go there's not much left. You'd be reaching with one of those late 2nds to grab a CB.

Brandon Beane is not going to pay $15M per for a RB that plays around 50% of the offensive snaps and is outside the top 15 in the NFL in carries and rushing yards.
Also, Ty Johnson had a better yd/touch last year than Cook.

Most Impactful Player among CB, 1TDT, & EDGE is the pick for me in the 1st and then take a guy at the other two spots in the 2nd unless something crazy happens.
Pearce over Harmon at 30 was tough.
Went with Morrison over Porter at 56 assuming that Morrison's hip is good to go because I think Morrison is more of a plug and play CB2 candidate than Porter who has all the traits and not a lot of experience actually playing CB.
The Bills defense needs CBs that can process the game mentally well. And Porter's lack of defensive experience worries me in that regard.
And Collins was the best 1TDT on the board at 62.

While plenty fans and media want the Bills to add a field stretching WR, I have a feeling that the WR need that they will be looking to address is more of the Kumerow/Sherfield/Hollins type of WR5 that can play 100+ STs snaps.

If you ban the tush push, then what happens when runners are in the pile and offensive linemen are pushing still?
Seems that if you ban the tush push, then offensive linemen cannot push the runner downfield on normal plays either. I don't care either way as long as it's consistent.

I get a lot of the same players at each pick. The questions I ask at 30 are:
- Does Harmon project as a 1DT in the Bills scheme?
- Can Beane trade down and still get one of these players?
At, 56 and 62, does Beane double up on DTs? Collins, West, and Phillips are all good 1DT fits
I know you're banging the trade down drum (as always)......but given the number of picks we own versus number of roster spots available, I think a trade UP in the 1st and/or 2nd is MUCH more likely than a trade down.

I'm only banging the trade down drum because, after the hundreds of mocks I've run, I think the talent at 40 isn't much different than the talent at 30.
I want to see Beane trade his 1st for a 2nd and a 3rd (similar to the trade last season). Then I'd like to see him use his 4ths and 5ths to trade back into the 3rd. I think there is a lot of talent between picks 20 and 100. I'd try to maximize picks in the 2nd and 3rd.

They’re clearly nowhere close to each other in contract talks.
I don’t see Cook being in Buffalo long term unless he decides to take less money.
If he wants a top of the market type deal, he will have to go to free agency or force a trade.
At least he made his contract demands clear before the draft. I read this is a deep draft for RBs.
