The offseason begins

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord Server
The Bills have 4 QBs signed today.

They usually take 3 to training camp and only keep 2 on the 53 man roster.

I would be shocked if they used a draft pick on a QB when they are already heavy at the position.
Trubinsky, White, and Buechele are all UFA's after this upcoming season. I can see Trubinsky being a cap casualty as well. With the absurd amount of picks we have, I wouldn't be shocked to see Beane nab a QB that can be groomed as an inexpensive backup to our Lord and Savior, Joshua Patrick Allen.

I think they like a locker room guy for Josh around, White may do that well and run the scout team. A rook is not going to be able to do much on the first part.

Time to kick off the 2025 HF Bills Big Board Project!

Is there anyone willing to take it over or help run it? I'm scheduled to start a trial a week from tomorrow, and if I do, will have to abandon it. Would love someone to step up and post the daily polls (or run it however you wish). The draft is just a month away!

New this season, all polls will be multiple vote. Vote for as many as you want! But obviously, dumping votes on nearly everyone will dilute the vote quite a bit. Idea here is the top few vote-getters will get added to the board. That way if we miss a day, we can still get through round 1 by the draft, and if we don't we can go deeper. The starting 10 are the top 10 on Brugler's big board.

SC has always had Alabama levels of talent, but could never coach them well enough aside from Holtz and Spurrier. Those teams just didn’t have a good enough QB.

Kennard might be the best of that group.

The challenge is that they will not keep a rookie QB as Allen's backup on the 53 man roster. So, they would be rolling the dice to get a rookie to the PS.

I don't see them doing it.

Plus, they have valued veteran backup QBs that can help Josh in the film room more than they want to invest in developing a rookie that they hope never sees the field. I doubt that changes until Josh is much closer to retirement than he is today.

A lot of people are wondering about Kennard's upside given his lack of production until a generational type game wrecker showed up to play on the other side last season.

26. *Buffalo Bills (via Rams): Mike Green, Edge, Marshall

(Projected trade: Bills acquire No. 26 from Rams for Nos. 30 and 109)

The Bills (10 picks) get ahead of the Ravens and Lions in pursuit of edge-rusher help. Free-agent signing Joey Bosa is Greg Rousseau’s tag-team partner for 2025, while Green, last season’s FBS leader with 17 sacks, adjusts going from the Thundering Herd to the NFL. Green could be among the first 15 picks if teams are comfortable with his off-the-field controversies.

I talk to some of the writers locally who see a lot of practices. SC plays a 4-2-5 where the ends are let loose. This was the first season where the players were not thinking and just attacking.

Kennard and Stewart played a wide nine type of end, and with Sanders in the middle at 3DT, there wasn’t a ton of opportunity for offenses to slide protection.

Locally, the folks who cover SC think players like Sanders and Kennard understood the defense better and attacked more. That could be said about everyone in Beamer’s program. It’s a program in the rise.

Re: Emmanwori. Locally, fans are frustrated with him. He moved from the nickel to safety in the 4-2-5 and exploded. Lots of rumors in town that he’s a “me first” type of guy who got his draft stock up and wasn’t interested in the team. Just the local skuttlebutt from Columbia.

Would Gilmore be a fit? I remember him being one of the best man corners in the game. I know McD runs a ton of zone. Is Gilmore solid in zone coverage, too? He was good for Minnesota last year. Id assume he's better than Rasul atleast.

He ran out of town so quick the 1st time, I highly doubt it.

Chad Rueter 4 round mock (2 picks after trades), Don't see Beane trading up for a corner, but ? Don't see him trading all his 4ths away
The Restrepo pick at 62 was terrible. Not a good draft for the Bills. Trading up for a CB? Thomas is not a zone CB and with Amos still on the board, this is just a draftnik link between broad need and player.

I still think Beane is best off trading down if he can find someone who wants to trade up.
