Buffalo Bills The offseason begins

Going to be interesting to see which way they choose to go and maybe even what Josh/Brady would like as factors.

l'm guessing we see Hollins re-signed pretty soon. So that will be one slot there.

ps Likely to see restructures/cuts/purge very soon as were getting close to free agency next week.
I hope they re-sign Mack and Ty Johnson. I just get more nervous when another day passes and they haven't signed them...

Bears doing a bit of work so far. Trading a couple of picks for Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney.

I do enjoy that KC traded away their best O-lineman.

It will be fun to see Buffalo trying to remake their DL in the same offseason that KC tries to remake their OL.

This smells like a Beane move.

Make the Diggs trade 2.0 for the missing piece at WR. Load up on defense in the draft, flip Cook for additional assets and to save cap space, and draft his replacement to join with Davis and Ty or another 3rd down back. Sign or draft a low-cost, field-stretching receiver.

Keon and DK as the outside WRs? That would be PROBLEMATIC for small secondaries. And DK is like the picture-perfect mentor for Keon.

Don't know the cap hit situation though.
He's in the last year of a deal. His cap # is $31.875M but his actual cash is $18M. Spotrac has his market value at 3-years, $76M.

An extension could look like this (without incentives because I don't know enough to account for it):

DK has a 2025 base salary of $18M. So, he would need an extension to his current deal to make sense for the Bills cap-wise. I wonder how much new money he would want and if it would be too much for Beane's budget this offseason.

No thanks on a WR who is making $25M per.

Especially for a WR who has only broken 70 yards per game once in his career and is a 60% catch% guy.
