There's no joy in rooting for what is likely a top 10 most unsuccessful franchise in all of North American sports relative to its history and fanbase.

They've botched every single top draft pick. They're developed not a single star-level young forward, every young star they've had since 2000 has either been a goaltender or a trade acquisition.

They gave out some of the league's most egregious contracts in the cap era for years.

And now we are expected to eat a big bag of shit while Drury rolls into fall of 2025 with Soucy-Fox, Miller-Borgen and expect that to be a cup winning group.

This organization doesn't deserve the fanbase it has. And we're not great

Dude half the fanbase was clapping like seals for these dumbass moves. They think you can win by icing an 8th seed talented team and then like… luck happens or something. And then they tell you that it’s not possible to build a contender because if you want the talent level the actual top 5 teams have it’s “living in fantasy world.”

All this fanbase wants is shortcuts so it’s all they’ll get.

Ok, so 5 goals I admitted were BS. Are you telling me 7 goals on 2 expected against is reasonable?

It was like 3 to our way at 7-3 and then we got some cheap expected goals. But at the time of 7-3, we were still winning the expected goals. And at the end of the day 7 goals on 2 expected goals is atrocious. Did they take the foot off the gas sure, so 9 goals on 4 expected goals against would have been much better?

Drury is so f***ing desperate to deliver results with this washed up core that he gives f***ing contract extensions to Borgen and Vaakanainen and trades for a player with term who is terrible in Soucy.

And now this gets to be our D for two more seasons.
