Pretty sure that's a temporary measure taken during heavy traffic times like right now to reduce site load.

I’m having issues staying logged in. I use the site on my iPhone if that matters.

Yeah I'm on my phone where I'm permalogged in and it works, but on my laptop where I sign out, I can no longer sign back in (security error)

Known issue. I am having the exact same result. IT Overlords are aware. No ETA on a fix yet.
Weird, I have the opposite error.
I stay signed in on computer but on mobile, I get logged out when navigating between different sub forums and can sign back in.
Multiple browsers, tried re-accepting and clearing cookies and all that

Any eta on the login issues? I love wasting my time on here on my work computer 
Seems like you can't initiate any new sign-in from any kind of device/browser now. For a site so big, I'd say that's a pretty big issue if we weren't a bunch of mooks on a hockey forum.
Luckily I have the site on my phone can't log on from my desktop nor laptop and writing posts from my phone just isn't worth it.

Its a multi layered issue. It sucks, we know it and some of the admins cant even sign in on certain devices. No eta has been told to the mods yet.Any eta on the login issues? I love wasting my time on here on my work computer
Minor complaint: In the dark mode, the usernames of posters are shown in a dark red which blends into the background so that the usernames are almost impossible to read

Ya it's already a dying forum and now probably what, 25-50% of people haven't been able to log in for almost a week, that's gonna drive traffic down even more.
