When HFBoards was down and I was accessing it on mobile it was trying to install an app. I was wondering why I would need an app for, so I assumed something nefarious had happened.

The short version is that folks who own and host XFCloud sites (NOT site admins) got warnings that we were being updated from 2.2.x to 2.3.x today. There is, however, no way to test what effect that upgrade has (I'd really like for XFCloud to change that). I received such an email for another site I admin (as I'm technically the owner of same), but I didn't expect this kind of Theme Armageddon - the other site I help admin also had problems, although they weren't as extensive because that site isn't quite as customized as HF is.

So yeah, it wasn't just users that were caught more or less off-guard.
