4-2 TB now. TB isn't f***ing around like Florida did.

Ottawa getting crushed by Florida, 4-0 now.

Calgary with a 1-0 lead on Winnipeg, so far, a good tank night.

Florida destroying Ottawa 4-0... where was that Florida the other night?!

let's hope Calgary can pull it off tonight ... not holding my breath... but man that would be HUUUUUUUUGGGEEEE!

Tampa's also chasing the Jets. So a Tampa win is good for both our 1sts.
Kind of wishful thinking. If Jets lose and Tampa wins tonight, Tampa has to win 3 more games than the Jets with 6 games remaining to overtake them. Best case is the 1st ends up being 23rd.

If the Jets lose and Tampa wins, Tampa will only be 3 points behind them.

And, Tampa is 8-1-1 in their last 10 coming into tonight. Jets are 4-5-1. Jets were sinking hard a couple of games ago. Tampa's on a major heater.

But I don't expect the Jets to lose tonight against the Flames. However it's one of their only 2 easy games to finish the season. The rest are against top teams plus Minny who are fighting for their lives, and mainly on the road.

Yeah I miscalculated, they would need 4 points to overtake them. 2 more wins than the Jets with 6 games left is still kind of unlikely. If Jets even win 3, Bolts need to win 5.

I don't know if the Habs fans are patient enough to develop a player like Byfield. It took him 3 years to be a good NHL player. I hope we are patient with Lindstrom (if we draft him).

A second line of Dach(6ft4) and Lindstrom(6ft4) would be insane for the playoff.
I think his skating is far superior to byfield, so maybe it takes him 2 more years, but that is our window, and in a way an insurance policy against Dach.

Hed be ELC/RFA when we're ready to compete, and a guy like that on friendly contract cements the rebuild up the middle.

It's a calculated risk, but not like the KK reach, totally different players.

Also note, if the Jets don't make the conference final, and any team that finished below them in the regular season does, the Jets 1st further gets better by 1 for each team that makes the conference final that finished below them.
