A higher pick means you get the player you covet, not leftovers, not that there is anything wrong with leftovers. Some of them turn out awesome or you may end up with your player anyway.
Yes.
Picking higher is better, and, not a guarantee of getting the best player.

Not sure why any of this needs discussion tbh... It's beyond obvious.

Crap, NYR's go up 5-3 on Arizona. Lafreniere with a 4 pt game: 2g, 2a.

Mid-3rd.

That's it. SHG by NYR. 6-3. 8 minutes left in 3rd.

Cooley gets a primary assist to make it 6-4. Then scores 2 minutes later to make it 6-5.

And, Sens go up 2-1 on Jets late in 2nd period.

Yeah, Ottawa holds on for the 3-2 win. They move 2 pts up. Same gp.

Arizona stays 1 pt back. Montreal has a game in hand. Both teams have tough next opponents. Florida @ Montreal, and Canucks @ Coyotes.

Senators play @ Minnesota next.

The battle continue with our main tank rival for a third time.

If we had lost to Colorado. The chance of finishing in the bottom 6 would have been 90%. We just need one more win from Ottawa and a lost for us to secure a bottom 6 position at the draft.
Panthers, Tampa, Toronto, NYR (b2b), Flyers, NYI, OTT (must lose for the tank), Detroit (twice in a b2b). Tough schedule ahead, I fully expect us to win 2 games max.

But the Habs being the Habs, we'll probably win like 5 lol

Yup, I fully expect that.

And the majority of Hab fans after we end the season "well" with those 5 useless wins, and have our pick fall to 11th overall:
