HF Habs: The official 2023-2024 tank thread

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. Suzuki/CC/Guhle were already top 6 forwards/top 4 dman before this season, Slaf/Roy are projected to become top 6 forwards for us in the future (unlike RHP/Ylonen last year), Monty was very good for us last year too, and Xhekaj/Harris/Struble are essentially getting rotated as healthy scratches with RHP and Ylonen not doing anything. I don't see how that's making a name for yourself when you already proved you can perform like this in the past. To me, the only player trying to make a name for himself is Primeau. I don't see how key players being key players for us is making a name for themselves.

Cmon most of them have something to prove - like literally 90% of them. And they are certainly playing much more inspired hockey compared to Pens.

I mean I've already told you that those players definitely do not have anything to prove. Guys like RHP/Pezz/Ylonen/Harris/Barron/Struble/Xhekaj/Primeau are the only ones and besides Primeau's 15 games, none of them are making a drastic impact to get us points. Why does Suzuki have to prove anything after this many great seasons in the NHL? I find it extremely strange that you're upset that our good young players are playing good hockey. The Pens are the oldest team in the league while we are one of the youngest, it's a very strange comparison. Their players are old and declining, ours are young and improving.
 
Arizona won, we're losing and Columbus is winning. Not a bad night so far.

Yep, this is the one winnable of the next three. Lost this one, and I am confident they will get rolled in the next two.
 
With their win tonight, Arizona ties Montreal in points, but Montreal holds a game in hand (once the loss to Calgary is finalized).

Ottawa will be one point back with 2 games in hand.

Blue Jackets are 3 minutes away from beating SJS.
