not that bad really. biggest issue w/ the big xii is that all the cities are relatively small and probably only serviced by airports that only accept propeller planes lol

we're already rivals w/ wvu anyway so yeah, that part makes a **** ton of sense

East Carolina, located in Greenville, a public institution founded in 1907, culturally fits the SEC mold. 22,000 undergraduates and 4,700 graduate students (including the Brody School of Medicine), an alumni base of 155,000, a $145 million endowment and a rabid fan base, all match favorably with SEC schools. The Pirates have been a bit of a step child to its ACC brethren but have competed admirably on the courts and athletic fields. 50,000-seat Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium is undergoing a $40 million renovation, which will expand capacity to 60,000. I can attest, the atmosphere of a Saturday night game at Dowdy-Ficklen is second to none in college football.

Speaking of expansion I'm kind of surprised Colorado State hasn't joined any power 5 conference yet though I've read they are a possible candidate for the Big 12.

Seriously, there's a lot to criticize about East Carolina and their team, but the atmosphere at the game is nuts, especially when it's a big game.

Can't wait for the 2nd upper deck to be finished. And if they ever do figure out a way to add more seats in front of the Murphy Center, the capacity could easily reach ~70k
