I knew I took Kempe too high, but much like Whitesnakes Slepyshev pick.. we will see ;)

 I'm already seeing. Slepyshev is a star. Just won't be here. ;)

I think that Kempe will be awesome. Honestly at this point, I can't believe we had a choice between Scherbak, Kempe and Barbashev. Makes no sense to me. I think people are underrating Kempe's offensive skills. They talk about his lack of offense and yet, the guy played in the BIG league with Modo. Not in a junior league. He will shut up a lot of people. Can't believe that the Kings got him....

I think Kempe if he develops as I expect his curve might go.. could be a TT situation with Blackhawks. A rich team getting richer because every one else had one guy ahead of them on their list.

If there's any team he thrives in, it will be the Kings. He plays their style of game already, he will grind on the wall, hit, make plays defensively and off the cycle offensively.

Anything over 15 in the second round would be excellent, IMO.

Although to be fair, who knows?

I took Andreas Johnson in the 3rd or 4th round last year and no NHL team selected him until the 7th. He ended up producing more points than 1st round pick Alexander Wennberg (0.55 PPG to 0.42 PPG) and our former prospect Sebastian Collberg (0.23 PPG).

12. Jared McCann, actually went 24th (-12)
43. Nicolas Aubé-Kubel, actually went 48th (-5)
54. Vladislav Kamenev, actually went 42nd (+12)
73. Daniel Audette, actually went 147th (-74)
133. Olivier Leblanc, actually went 197th (-64)
163. Sergei Boikov, actually went undrafted
191. Nikita Lyamkin, actually went undrafted
193. Keven Bouchard, actually went 183rd (+10)

I'm really happy with the Aubé-Kubel, Kamenev and Bouchard picks I made.

I knew Audette in the third was too early, but I didn't have a 4th rounder so I couldn't let him slip. I still think Leblanc is good value in the 5th.

I didn't see the McCann drop coming, but I still like the player I picked. In retrospect, I'd most likely take Milano instead though.

We'll see in a few years man. I picked Grégoire in the 4th round last year in the 2.0 mock draft and looked crazy after the draft when he went in the 6th. But now, not so much:D

It has plenty of time to change though, and that's what makes it fun.

I was expecting Hickets to go much lower than where I picked him anyways. Same for Lundberg. Maybe late round flyer. McIvor also went undrafted. Otherwise, picked guys pretty much where they went.

172. Arkhip Nekolenko, F ND
202. Eetu Sopanen, D ND

My last pick came down to belpedio and sopanen, I liked the upside of Sopanen over belpedio who I thought was a bit safe with low upisde IMO. In term of the numbers game of things it would have made me look a lot better. I still stand by my choices, I took those gambles with the russians and sopanen, and knew there was a chance they would go undrafted but still.

My first three picks were tremendous value though.

Overall I think I did pretty well.
(* I am ecstatic that montreal landed Scherbak in the real draft, easily one of my faves from this class and think he is a pure steal at 26)

Horrible draft except Virtanen and Wood. Can't believe I went with Minney when I was debating with Halverson (who went 59, would have been a +100 to salvage my draft)... Tkachev I knew was a reach, but Gardiner and Minney I thought would at least be drafted...

6th: Michael Dal Colle
- Drafted 5th by NYI (+1)

36th: Eric Cornel
- Drafted 44th by Buffalo (-8)

66th: Blake Siebenaler
- Drafted 77th by Columbus (-11)

126th: Clark Bishop
- Drafted 127th by Carolina (-1)

156th: Dryden Hunt

186th: Yannick Rathgeb
- Undrafted

First 4 picks were actually pretty good. Last two not so much. I still think Hunt should have been drafted.

All you guys saying your no drafts means your draft sucks... may not to be true.

I'm sure some mock posters picked Tanner Pearson the first year he was eligible, just for example.

I had 5 guys of 9 selected.

I think at least 7 can be good NHLers though, and the other two guys I like well. Sure, I'm not an NHL scout, but they're are plenty of teams with poor guy rates.

I know. It's one thing immediately after the draft. It's another in 4 years. Just like analysing the Habs draft.
