Did you play the new X-Com (Enemy Unknown/Enemy Within)? I never played the original but I loved the reboot. So fun to play, and they really nailed the atmosphere, I thought. They added a couple of nice features in the expansion too.

At first I was really disappointed, but the DLC and expansion did a lot for the newer version. It's not as deep as the original but it is a really fun and great game.

The Enemy Unknown had to few maps and left out epic experience from the original like base defence. The expansion fixed most of my gripes.

So, I ****ed my knee and think I need knee surgery.

I went golfing (june 30th) when I was up in Calgary for my "vacation" and tweaked something in my left knee, but finished the round anyways. It didn't seem too bad and for the most part the pain was minor for a few days.

Fast forward to Thursday of last week and I go to the driving range with my brother and again the pain starts, this time I stop. For the rest of the evening it was sore but I was mobile and figured it would get better. It didn't, through the evening and night the pain got worse. Went to sleep and it was just as bad when I got up. It was even worse Saturday when I got up and even worse today too. It's to the point it is very difficult to walk and I think I will be breaking out my crutches.

There is alot of swelling and extreme tightness. The pain is above my kneecap to the right. I am pretty sure I tore the cartilage, it's similar to the way I felt when I did the same to my other knee.

I plan on calling my family doc Monday and trying to get in Thursday or Friday so I don't have to miss work.

Did you at any time feel or hear any sort of a pop or a tear at the time it happened? When you move it now is there any kind of clicking? The bruising and swelling is normal.

I didn't hear anything but I felt pain and weakness. As for moving, with the tightness it very difficult to move but there it alot of cracking and popping sometimes when I straighten it out. It is also 1000x time more painful to bend my knee than straighten it.

I can't say for sure, but I'd be more prone to say you sprained your knee or pulled a ligament which should heal on it's own. I've injured my left knee several times and you definitely feel a pop if it happens. Definitely get it checked, if you do not need surgery (hopefully you don't), you should really consider doing some rehab. Once you injure your knee it's never the same again unless you strengthen it.

I never a felt a pop in my right knee when I tore it either, I just know as a comparable it feels eerily similar.

Well, hopefully you did not tear anything! Post surgery is not fun!
Oh I know, lol. Last time was worse because I didn't have benefits and so I had to use EI's injury benefits which ran out days after surgery. So I didn't even have a chance to recoup before going back to work and standing all day

I'm tired to, I'm usually up at 6 every day but slept in to almost 10 today. I'm still feeling the effects of my 4:30 night on Saturday.
