I prefer prime Weber over prime PK, but if this stupid exercise is supposed to be based on actual time with the team Weber over PK is absolutely ridiculous. I suppose the fake cup run is probably the difference?

Only remember Souray for his bomb slapper, shit went in all the time.

No love for my boys Perezhogin and Grabovsky is BS

I think Weber and Subban are pretty interchangeable (and I guess so did a couple of GMs). I'd PROBABLY have Subban ahead but I think it's too close for me to really care.

how is it to close? Subban played 7 hard years, if you take all the sweat secreted by Subban in those 7 years, Im sure you would have enough sweat to fill an olympic size pool.

Weber, you should be fine with a 500 ml water bottle.

Its disgusting what the club is doing and it has nothing to do with hockey.

I'm not sure how to reply to this post since it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. I'm sorry you're so upset with whatever you think the team is doing unrelated to hockey.

I think Subban & Weber should be switched, but otherwise I think it's right.

Weber is the hall of famer, but obviously Weber did his best in Nashville and subban in montreal, so I see the argument.

Souray is there for his 26 goal season but petry probably had the bigger overall contribution.

Can't think of any glaring omissions off the top of my head.

I find it amusing that with almost half of the 1/4 century being under Bergevin reign there's only 2 of his players on this list.

And those two players wouldn't have been acquired if he didn't trade for two other players that were on this list (Subban, Pacioretty).

One change I would make is Hamrlik over Souray. Souray isn't a bad choice, but Hamrlik was awesome his 4 years as a Hab.

Hamrlik played tough matchups, put up about 30 points a year and stepped up big time when Markov was hurt.

My 1st Quarter-Century team:

Pacioretty-Koivu-Kovalev

Subban-Markov

Price

My 2nd Quarter-Century team:

Suzuki-Plekanec-Gallagher

Weber-Souray

Theodore

I don't understandt Pacioretty not being a first team selection, except bad feelings. Yeah, we were all mad at him by the time he left, but we drafted and developed him, he played 10 years for us and had five 30+ goal seasons. Kovalev played longer for the Rangers and Penguins than us, played for us only 4 seasons and had one 30 goal season. (Plus, Pacioretty brought us Suzuki (plus Tatar) while Kovalev walked for nothing.)

Hammer played 4 seasons, 30 pt avg.

Petry played over 7 seasons for the Habs. Had 4 consecutive seasons over 40 points and went to the Cup finals. Also had to fill in as #1.

Weber being severely underrated in this thread. It's close, and Subban had more highlight reel moments, but Weber made a bigger overall impact on team success.
If you go strickly by what the player did for the Monteral Canadiens i don't think it's close personally. Subban was a lot more dominant. Only time Weber really shined (outside of the october norris thing) was during the cup run but that run was a little bit of a covid consolation prize if we are truly honest. If you take Weber's full career with Nashville and Montreal versus Subban's full career with Montreal, Nashville and NJ then no doubt Weber's ahead of Subban.

Pretty sure it's Gallagher who gets butthurt and not Pacioretty hence why Plekanec trolled Gallagher.

They both did but Gallagher is more butthurt over PK, for sure.

Both are just egocentric conservative white dudes who hated that PK got the spotlight and thrived in it.

People having terrible takes on which d should be where, or some stupid shit about race when the real thing you should be talking about is how pathetic that forward group is.
