According to Dhaliwal,

CBJ has expressed alot of interest in Boeser and are closely monitoring to see if the Canucks will make him available.

Dhaliwal says that CBJ wants Boeser long term.

CBJ probably would like to trade for Boeser rather than gamble and wait with Free Agency so that they can make a competitive long term offer with an extra year.

I wonder what the return would be?

Maybe Boeser for Sillinger? De Bel Beluz?

Canucks would probably want a C or D young player/prospect or high pick

is it just me or does this a new rumor come from this guy every week that never seems to actually happen

When it comes to Canucks, Dhaliwal is the most connected, even more so than Friedman, Seravalli or other talking heads.

Sometimes, he gets fed information by the team / agents to fit a script but for the most part he is very very well connected.

Dhaliwal is connected to agents more than to nhl execs. Whether this is to get his preferred team (say it is Minny) to step up and make a move for him before tdl so that he can get the extra year come free agency, who knows.

I do not think he’s connected to the inner workings of CBJ and Waddell’s group.

100% of the time. He is far more connected with the agents than the players.
But when he reports, it means the discussion is happening at the very least.

Wouldn't bet on them playing together

Voronkov-Monahan-Marchenko
Johnson-Fantilli-Boeser

Maybe something like that if a trade actually did happen
Fair...I was just commenting on them being on the same team. Would be good to see CBJ get some positivity going in that franchise.

If true, wonder if they go after him before TDL or after the season ends (before FA begins)?

luckily for the fans the on ice product has been very positive this year. I'm a little confused at why Boeser would be a target though, the team is scoring a lot of goals even while missing Jenner all year and Chinakhov for a large portion of it. That's a lot of secondary scoring on the IR unless Waddell has lost faith in Chinakhovs ability to stay healthy.

Seems Allvin is going to move Boeser if he can't get a deal worked out. Canucks are not looking like a contending team, so you can't let assets (especially when they have so few prospects in the pipeline) go for nothing.

Boeser and Monahan for the next few years would be amazing.
Amazingly slow maybe.

I don't see a fit for Boeser on CBJ, they are pretty loaded up front as is, and more offensive prospects on the way. BB6 will only block them. I mean if CBJ wants to make a good offer, by all means. I just don't really see why they would target Boeser in particular.

It's probably trade&sign type of setup - that would have to be the pretext of the conversation.
Isn't he a free agent? I'm never giving either of those guys for a rental.

I don't get the fit here at all, to be honest.
After ditching Laine and losing Gaudreau, Columbus could use a 1st line winger to fit in with their contingency of young centers

He's a new GM (and coach Evason is new) and probably see's a lot of things (players/picks) that could be moved in their opinion that would make the team better. Plus he needs to spend some money (can't rely solely on KJ/Fantilli/Chinkhov becoming next years Marchenko) his team is at the cap floor.

Voronkov-Monahan-Marchenko is one of the best lines in hockey this year. Boeser isn't better than any of those guys. I hear that Kent Johnson guy is pretty good too
