Where's that Don Sweeney doll?

I have to get a lock of his hair to make it work.

But I'll get it before he goes bald,

I was the same age as "Little" Stevie Winwood when I heard their first record. I had bought an acoustic guitar from Sears & Roebucks with a harmonica.. I never could tune the guitar and think I blew into the harp backwards.
There goes show biz. But "Little" Stevie sure could.

Everyone thought he was some old blues guy not a 15 year old bloke.

From Georgia probably

See you and raise,

Who is this about?

Lil' help, as we say on the court,

"Still one of the great British bands of the '90s," David Bowie told Select in 1996. "They have the enviable knack of taking the rather pathetic fumble of a quick f*** under the pier and extracting those few golden moments that many years later convince oneself that, for one brief flickering moment, one was as inspired as Romeo or, in some cases, Juliet. The poor things are bound to be an institution by the year 2000. Dame Brett, anybody?"

Oasis? Not so much.

Largely terrible lyrics -- I mean, terrible lyrics -- from mastermind Beatlemaniac Noel Gallagher.

"Wonderwall," a tip of the hat to George Harrison's first solo album of the same name and, I believe, their best selling single, was... meh. IMHO.

One or two goodies,

By the way, for those interested in Little Steven, this HBO special is excellent:

I especially like the inclusion of my other favorite band from Asbury Park, Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes. Steven wrote some hits for him and produced his albums before the E Street Band was big. And later they got back together with some guy named Bruce for this gem:

Thanks to the Musicians who showed up for this concert to aid the folks affected by this terrible fire. Some of my favorites (who are in their 70s and 80s)
showed up

Loved seeing Stills (who is mostly deaf and 80) , with Mike Campbell). Also, Graham Nash with Stills (it was a long time since they played together).

Rod Stewart did well for 80.

They used Warren Zevon's "Hold me in your heart for A while" which is a killer for me. Lovely song...makes me cry.

Sting's Fragile was beautiful.
