Oh man. I loved the Cars from the very beginning, and I loved their debut (1978).

I exchanged a duplicate Beatles record received for Christmas for that first album.

Too perfectly brought to life by Queen producer Roy Scott Thomas.

Yet, if memory serves, that Midnight Special appearance was stupendously underwhelming, exposing all the flaws of this minimalist, poe faced unit. Their charisma worked very well in small venues. Not so much on the big stage, at least at that point.

Just in from the Tupelo Music Hall.

I saw a Beatles Cover band. (Beatle Juice). They were pretty good.
