Absolutely. No expert but what a trailblazer she was.
You might exclaim, Wow -- and you absolutely should exclaim Wow -- when considering the great Carol King, or, for example, the many girl groups of the early sixties. How about being a *female studio musician, a bass player, no less, at the time?*
Impressive.
Realize the "sexist" crap Kaye must have encountered. And yet, in the documentary, from the Crew itself I sense acceptance from musicians to musician, as long as you can play. And Carol Kaye could play.
