Very sad...Did anyone watch the video she posted within the last 5 years. Dealing with mental health? Was difficult to watch. Incredible vocals!!!![]()
The Unapologetic Brilliance of Sinéad O’Connor
I think what O’Connor sought in her music was anguish, laid bare, and then a gorgeous moment of communion.www.newyorker.com

Some recent stuff on my spotify shuffle...
Agreed! A gem if you like that stuff. That B-52’s album is flawless
Mileage may vary on this one, but I find this performance mesmerizing.
Nice! First time hearing that song.
I first came across Wilco back in 2011. Opened for Neil Young in Halifax. Immediately became one of my all time favourite bands. 4X now I watched Wilco live.
Enjoy the video...if you don't watch the entire thing watch what takes place 217 mark...Floored me the first time I heard this. It repeats a few times in the song. Love how it doesn't faze Tweedy.
My mesmerizing song is the following by Wilco.
I know they're well thought of but never got into them. I'll have a listen.Wilco have some great stuff!

Ok now Fountains of Wayne kick ass. I love them!
A band that came right at the tail end of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal craze and never was able to hit it big after getting screwed over by its English record label, Grim Reaper still had an amazing kick ass catalogue of music that was on par with their contemporaries like Maiden, Angelwitch, Saxon, and many more. Frontman Steve Grimmett, who was the lead vocalist for a 90s metal project called Lionsheart, was able to revive the band, under a modified name at the request of former lead axeman Nick Bowcott, as Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper. The second incarnation featured many ex Lionsheart and Grimmett's own solo project members in it. They were poised for a second run of success after a decent release in 2016. Sadly, however, Grimmett's health took a turn for the worse as Grimmett got a diabetic foot ulcer that sadly claimed his part of his leg due to an infection that happened when the band was touring in Ecuador in 2017. And while the frontman was able to get back on his feet and continue touring after a crowd funding effort, he sadly passed away in August of last year. A band that shouldn't be slept on at all, in both incarnations of the band. Grim Reaper was a fantastic, albeit brief, part of NWOBHM history that shouldn't be overlooked.

When Emo Conquered the Mainstream
A new oral history of the musical genre follows the arc of an emo song—one that celebrates a maligned, angsty outsider triumphing over the haters and cool kids.www.newyorker.com
