Stevenson dying and seeing people know him from Rome instead of Black Sails reminds me how criminally underrated that show is. By a country mile, the most underwatched and, consequently, underrated show or movie ever.

The Night Agent has been a great show
It was fun. Ran a bit long and the characters were infuriatingly dumb at times. Action was great though and the chemistry between the leads was superb.

I discovered the show during the second season, and for the next 3 years I would tell everyone I knew to watch it, only two of my friends ever did. Everyone else always responded the same way "a show about pirates? Sounds lame." Drove me nuts.

Same, mostly. I praise the show to everyone and everyone I hear from who has seen it raves and thinks it’s similarly underrated. Yet no matter how much I implore others or how consistently great the feedback is on the show people just don’t watch it. Nobody I’ve ever talked about it to has watched it and the few times I’ve tried to show it to people I know they just kind of don’t pay attention.

It’s crazy to me when I look at something like that and something like Game of Thrones. I haven’t watched GoT but from what I have seen BS is better. BS gets better as it goes and nails the ending while GoT doesn’t.

I’m convinced it’s just about what’s trendy at this point. That success is as much about trends and herd mentality as it is quality.

They showed the trailer for Operation Avalanche in the theater. Looked really good. Marked it down.
That's interesting considering it came out like 10 years ago, but makes sense since it's Johnson's movie.

Highly recommended

It's unfortunate because I don't believe BlackBerry will be released here in Australia, so I'll probably have to wait until it comes out on a streaming platform

Amc + Friday nights has the last drive in with Joe Bob Briggs. For those who enjoy old horror movies and Darcy the mail girl.

I've watched both and didn't realize he was Blackbeard until you mentioned he was in it.

The new little mermaid was terrible, but Melissa McCarthy or whatever her name is, killed the Ursula role.

I thought it was about as good as can be expected based on the live action Disney remakes so far (which haven't been very good). I'd rank it ahead of Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King remake but below Aladdin and Jungle Book (which is the best of the bunch by far). Hailey sang the hell out of the songs and Ursula was fun.
