The most "This is over before it's actually over" series in the last few years.

Preds vs Avs from the start in 2022. It's going to be a waste of eight days - Darryl Sutter.

Another recent one involving the Avalanche: when they played the Coyotes in 2020. At least Darcy Kuemper stole a game for the Coyotes, then the series ended with back to back 7-1 blowouts.

To say that the Coyotes had a "non-zero" chance of winning the series is technically accurate, but still very generous.

It does suck.

I think the guy you quoted was more commenting on how people complain about "too many Leafs threads on the main board", when they are created by Leafs fans, yet all these Leafs threads on the main boards are created by other hockey fans who wish to see the Leafs fail yet again.

You seem to be a San Jose Sharks fan, so let me say what you said but like I'm talking about the San Jose Sharks........

"Imagine not have any Cups ever despite having some really good teams since its inception in 1991 and everyone just assumes you are going to fail in the playoffs because you always do. Must suck"

If you were joking around like you are aware how futile the Sharks have been, kudos and sorry for making this comparison.

I just really felt the need to point out that your team sucks too.

So insecure.

Sorry Leaf fans, but not too many people are believing the Leafs are coming back even though it's 3-2.

Has there been a series with more of a sense that there is no way a team can win than this one in the past few years?

Carolina vs Detroit in 2002. Except the Canes won the first game, which shocked that loudmouth Brett Hull. After that it was all downhill tho.
Not exactly.....Game 3 though.....Wings needed a very late 3rd period goal (18:45) to get it to OT which they subseqently won in the 3rd OT.

Leaving the ESA that night (ESA-RBC-PNC-Lenovo) sure was depressing. The flip side of emotions was leaving after Game 7 in 2006.

There was absolutely no chance the Habs would’ve beat the Lightning in the 2021 SCF. Kucherov laughed and mocked the Habs but it was a reasonable take in an objective sense. Two different weight classes.
It’s funny because Kucherov was actually ass in that series outside of game 1, as was Stamkos, Point, Hedman, Sergachev, Gourde and many others. It was Tampa’s depth that won them the series. Scrubs like Cernak, Rutta, Savard, and Joseph were getting on the scoreboard multiple times. And Coleman, Johnson, Goodrow, and Palat in particular killed us - 4 points each.

Despite the fact that they memed their way to two wins, last year's ECF was played almost entirely in the Rangers' zone.

Kucherov had 5pts in 5gp and led both teams in points, being the only PPG player of the finals.

Kucherov had 32 points and led the whole league in playoff scoring, he didn’t need to score in games 2, 4, or 5 to lead his team to win a gentleman’s sweep in the finals.

Tampa’s depth did well because they pounded an inferior opponent.

Kucherov had 3 points in game 1, as did Point. He had just 2 points in the 4 other games combined, and Point had none after game 1. He was held off the scoresheet entirely in 3/5 games. Point was held scoreless in 4/5 games.

Stamkos, Hedman, Sergachev, and Gourde were all held to a single point each in the series.

TBL stars were all shutdown in that series, to a degree that pretty much nobody else did to them in their prime. Like I said, it was their depth that won the series for them, not sure what you’re even arguing with.

Not sure why you felt like chiming in when I clearly stated my point: Tampa was a much better team than Montreal.

Seems like you can’t disagree but want to come across as smart anyway
