Get a PK running at 80% and we win the last two games!
Apparently Noel thinks our penalty killing is just fine.
He probably saw Pavelec going for one of his "once in awhile" cheat meals, then tried to play interventionist and stop it while unfortunately tearing his cervix in the process.
True story.
That was one of the most empty arenas I have ever seen.
Florida will be the next team to move their franchise after Phoenix.
last guy had a good point re traffic in front of the net...lost count of the number of times over th epast three games or so when I was yelling at the TV "somebody get in front of the net!" while the Jets moved the puck around the perimeter...
Get some perspective, folks. Its a long *ss road trip - from Wnnipeg to south Florida. Is it news to anyone that teams play better at home and worse on the road?
You're (we're) in this for the long haul. The team philosophy has always been to develop within and at this point we just don't have the development chips like St Louis or Florida or Washington (a Thrasher legacy I'm sorry to say). We were average last year and have changed very little. Hate it, but odds are we are going to be average this year and better at home than on the road. Also no Buff last night.
I think I can stand back and better assess the jets sometimes than those of you closer to the action. Night in and night out this team gets more out of less talent than just about anybody.
Good stuff. Kane is becoming a top level player. Enstrom signed for awhile. Redmond looked good (knew he would). Trouba in the long term pipeline.
Patience.
Looks like this has to be explained after every home game.
Management decided to be brilliant and make the center ice seats behind the benches and exclusive club that costs 25k per seat per year. Obviously it has less than 30% occupancy and those who did purchase it spend almost the entire game watching from the lounge at the top of the section eating and drinking the "free" food.
It makes the arena look empty when in reality the rest of the sections are pretty full.

Guys who fight need to have two helmets now! One with a Visor one without. These 19 Min Penalty's are a killer!
...UH OH! hes got his ass kickin helmet on!
If we draft high enough can we draft MacKinnon please? So we will use him in 3-rd or 4-th line and PK (aka Burmi or Mark)
So the only thing we will have on PP is big shot of big Buff
And when he will suck on PK (50% success rate) we will look for PK specialist and give up our picks to a team who will use their prospects properly
They need a rip away visor... The guy can just whip it off. Asking a guy to take his helmet off and put him at an unfair advantage is stupid.
They make them take their helmets off if they are going to fight. Plain and simple. Punishing a guy for wanting to keep his eyes is baffling.

I think everyone knows that it's harder to play on the road than at home. That's not anything new in any sport.
On a talent basis alone, do you think that the Panthers dressed a better lineup? Having Buff and Bogo out did hurt, but overall I don't see how the Panthers lineup would be considered more talented than ours.
What has most people here frustrated, and questioning the team, has been the effort, heart, jam, guts, etc, etc, that has been sorely missing from the last two games.
Nothing to do with talent level, expectations, etc. I'm just frustrated with what I saw last night from an effort standpoint. It was a terrible display IMO, and one that has nothing to do with talent.
