When Versteeg scored a little piece of my soul withered and died.

I don't think we're any more bi-polar than the Jets are. I mean to go from knocking off the Penguins after giving them a two goal lead to going down in flames to the Panthers in a matter of days is pretty frikkin bi-polar! They'll likely beat Tampa by 6 tomorrow...

I hope Buff can play tomorrow.

Rick Ralph 1290: Hi Dennis!

Dennis: Yes, I was wondering how many goals Hainsey was on the ice for?

RR: Actually he ended up even

Dennis: Oh, it just seemed like he didn't...

RR: Yep, in a 6-3 loss, plus minus was even, 1 shot, 3 blocked shots... not bad.

Dennis: hangs up.

I just finished watching that crap. During the first period, I was thinking "man the Panthers are awful, there is no way we're going to lose this".

Sigh..... :shakehead

These 1290 callers are out in full force. Some guy wants to scratch Jokinen and have Scheifele play in that position instead :laugh::laugh::laugh:

Brutal game. Flashbacks of last year. I don't know how they can play so well those 3-4 games, and play so terrible the last two.

When Stuart got out of the box on his penalty, it was a 3 on 2, and he tried to take it himself. He could have dropped it off to Stuart as both defencemen came to him.

Yep, next genius suggests we dress Scheifele and scratch Jokinen, because "you can't win without a good leader"

wut?

hahah we all want Mark to play.... but to scratch the joker for him is...

last guy had a good point re traffic in front of the net...lost count of the number of times over th epast three games or so when I was yelling at the TV "somebody get in front of the net!" while the Jets moved the puck around the perimeter...

Antropov is the only guy who consistantly stands out front, particularly on the PP. Kane always wants to set up on the wall, when he simply does not have the vision to play there. Pearn needs to get Kane to park his ass out front if he wants to keep him on the PP.

Its all an effort issue as far as I can see. I can't count how many times I was wondering why the hell we didn't even try for a puck or try to strip a puck from the other team. So many times the puck was in the opposing end and there wasn't a Jet's jersey in sight.

Just horrible EFFORT.

Same, drives me nuts. I think Ladd is the only one who gets in front of the net and Antropov sometimes as well. I remember last game we had powerplay, Postma had the puck at the point, not one person in front of the net. He didn't know what to do, so he took a wrist shot... with not a single person in front of the net. Needless to say it was easily stopped then cleared down the ice. I don't understand why, when the puck goes to an open point, they aren't racing to get in front of the net. Mind boggling.

Yeahh thats another thing. For a few games there I really thought the guys were in sync. They were moving the puck well. Last few games? Nothing but pucks bouncing off sticks and skates...all. game. long.
